I could laugh, or I could cry.

Ok, so things happen for a reason.

But sometimes the timing on them really sucks.

I have just landed a GREAT job, that pays more per hour to start than I have ever made in my whole life before. A LOT more. The same day, my VA doctor notifies me that the VA has decided to approve me for a surgery I have been waiting roughly 3 years for. Problem: I have until 6/16/15 to get the surgery done, or the approval expires, and fat chance getting them to re-approve it.

I start the job on 4/1/15,.... It's a done deal. I'll be making enough from that part-time job to be able to pull myself up out of poverty.

IF the friggin' 2 weeks I'll be forced to take off almost immediately for the VA surgery doesn't cost me the entire job opportunity. I can't tell my employer yet when I need off for it - because the friggin' VA hasn't sent the letter of approval, with all the details of who, when, where yet - or if they did, it's taking the slow boat from China to get here. The VA won't just come out and TELL me the details, no, that's too simple and time-saving. Last time, the letter they sent me arrived the day AFTER I was supposed to be somewhere for an important appointment. I hope they haven't done the same shit to me again.

I need the job really, really need the job - it opens soooo many doors. But I also really, really, really need the surgery to correct things the VA surgeons screwed up. NOT cosmetic. Physically handicapping scar tissue anchoring layers of skin and muscle together so things CAN'T move right, making it impossible for me to move my arms to reach overhead, etc. - all part of what this surgery is to correct.

So, I get 2 pieces of great news - but they are timed so as to screw each other up.

Such is life.

Oh, yeah - I'm on a higher dose of Tgel now - the endocrinologist put me on more of it daily in order to get my T levels up into the lower end of normal for a guy my age. So all the distractions it has been causing me were NOTHING compared to how it's making me feel now. A cross between the Hulk and a sex-fiend,.... And this is how I'm going to be entering the workforce, in a new to me skilled trade.
