I am still here.
Just a note to let you know that I am still here. Those of you at I am friends with on Facebook knows the things that has been going on with my mama since January first. She has admitted into the hospital and airlifted to Greenville on the 4th. My mama was losing a lot of blood and about to die. After surgery doctors found out she had a bleeding ulcer and her main blood vessel to her stomach was really thin. They repaired what needed to be done. My brothers and I were thinking after surgery we were good to go. Not the case. Because mama has a heart valve she has to have her blood thinner. Every time they would give her blood thinner she would start to bleed. After a long stay in ICU on a vent she finally was making a turn. She is now on a regular floor off the vent and doing good. Can't eat yet and that is about to drive her nuts. This has been a very emotional time for me and the boys. Hoping and praying we were making the right decisions for her health.
Just know that I love you all and I carry you in my hearts everyday.

I am sorry to hear about all of the problems. It is very hard to know for sure what the right decisions are, even with the guidance of the doctors. Please remember that you need care too.

Glad to hear from you, Rhonda. Sounds like you have a plateful right now. Boy, those blood thinners (even though necessary) can create other problems! My mom has severe arthritis (already had both knees and one hip replaced) and aspirin is her drug of choice to control her pain...But she can\'t take it due to the blood thinners! I pray your Mom is comfortable and gets to eat soon! Peace.

Don\'t know how I missed this yet knew about your mama but didn\'t know the details so I\'m grateful to have a better understanding of what you all are dealing with. Deepest of sighs...
Loving care to you all and hoping each day she is feeling stronger and that you don\'t for a minute second guess any of your decisions with her care. YOU are doing your best and I\'m sure it is exhausting dear one.
