I am in anxiety central!!

Greetings all,

I am presently in anxiety central! I have been suffering from more anxiety attacks this year than in previous years! I don't know if it is the constant mask-wearing and the feeling of difficulty breathing, the lay off in August and only part-time work since then, the worry of paying bills, and the feeling of being alone. I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders and my mind. Many times I want to cry, but I don't. I also have an ex-sister-in-law who is seriously ill and has been given only a few months to live. I am trying to stay strong for my daughter and my grandson as they are having issues and look to me to help them feel happy and to help them financially. I know that we are all going through challenges and I realize that DS is here for assistance and encouragement. I thank you all in advance for any words of encouragement. I hope that all of you will keep the faith and strength in your own lives and I will try to be uplifting for you as well. Let us try to keep the faith together and thank you for allowing me to vent. And yes, I have anxiety and relaxing apps on my phone as well  :)

I am sorry that you are suffering. I think many of us are suffering more than normal. Even those who never previously had anxiety. I try to think of this time as a way of learning new skills like zoom, new recipes, celebrating each success. I try to keep myself distracted. Lately it’s been harder because I just had knee replacement so I am not able to walk and do my regular exercises.

I am sorry to hear about your ex sister in law. Remember, it’s ok to cry. It can relieve stress. So can screaming into a pillow or hitting a pillow. I always tell myself to make each day an adventure...... going to the park, taking a drive, going out to get Starbucks or milkshake. Baking cookies or cupcakes, painting, rearranging furniture or closets, having a car wash day, playing a movie outdoors, dancing with my dogs............. Hang in there.
