Hypomanic/ Lisa's seizure
I've been having a rough couple of days and I really should be journaling all if it and not hold it all in. I've been a bit hypomanic lately, but hey, I have a clean kitchen now. I don't know what triggered it... I've been having some bad days. Thanksgiving was nice, Geo and I went to his dad's house. Not too bad.
On Friday Lisa said she wasn't feeling well, so her mom picked me up and we went to the hospital. Their car broke down in the parking lot and Lisa couldn't walk to the entrance, so I got her a wheelchair. I wheel her to the lobby of the ER and she grabbed my hand and said "I'm about to have a seizure" and then she seized. I freaked out, but I did yell to call code blue (heart attack/can't breathe or is having a seizure) and the nurses came running. They put her on a back board because she fell off the wheelchair. They take her in and I wait a bit and then they called me in. I got to the room and then she had 2 more seizures. They gave her Ativan for the seizures and they stopped. I was with her for a few hours, and her parents come by and offer me a ride home. I came home and almost had a breakdown. I was so scared. I took some Klonopin and went to sleep. Lisa is better now and back at work. Still, I'm a bit freaked out about the whole thing.
I got so lucky! Geo and I are broke, almost out of food stamps and had nothing for dinner and so my mom sends me the $50 I needed to get our normal pack of meat. Then my elections check comes in, and my stepdad said he was sending me money. I can finally buy clothes! All my clothes are too big or have holes in them. I feel so lucky. I'm glad I have family I can count on.

Happy to hear you had a nice Thanksgiving at Geos Dads house. I wonder if its the season change and all the anticipation of holiday things that is triggering the hypomanic episode? I know when i get over welmed from everything i can get that way. Just a thought.
Wow i bet that was scary with what you went threw with Lisa :( I have a daughter that has a seizure disorder and it is scary even if you know whats happening.... never really gets any easier to watch it and feel helpless that theres not much you can do.
Thats awesome your family is helping..... with some money to get threw the tough times. Groceries are so horribly expensive i always hate going shopping for groceries because i know its going to break my budget.
OMG I would have totally freaked out! Thank heavens Lisa had the seizure at the hospital
that is nice about thanksgiving and all going well. maybe you had the hypomanic episode because of all that you have been doing for geo and your body responded that way? I cant imagine being you with lisa and the seizures. thank goodness she had you and was in the hospital when it happened. you are a wonderful friend. fantastic news about the money, I have had that happen a couple of times just when you really need it. happy shopping! it is true, I feel so lucky to have a supportive family. many hugss
Oh my what an experience. Glad she was at the hospital when it happened, It\'s great to feel lucky. I\'m happy that you got the money when you needed it, Enjoy shopping for new clothes that really fit.
your stepdad and you mom sound really nice. really great of them to help you out when you need it. you are lucky to have great people around you. very rare! sorry to hear about your friend\'s seizure. very scary. did she say how she knew she was going to have one or what triggered it? good going on getting help and getting a wheelchair and knowing your way around like that. you should work in a hospital? you would probably be great at it.
does geo\'s dad cook? xxoo
Hugs, honey. You handled that at the hospital very well. I am usually cool, calm and collected until it is all over then I freak out. Your mom and stepdad are warm, wonderful people. You are so lucky to have them. Hugs and prayers
