Humble pie jubilee

I'm realizing that I can't always have access to the wisdom or personal practice with which to boost my own confidence. I need to reach out for it sometimes. Just 'that little bit of wisdom' is giving me the space to feel comforted. Sometimes I can feel a sense of pride and kind of self sustaining in that. Other times I definitely need to reach out. That space of reality is giving me some platform of grounding. :-)

hm-m-m-m. . . i'd never thought to connect wisdom with self-esteem. gaining wisdom from others feels like placing the esteem on other shoulders. a good practice, but not self-esteem in itself. believing in my own wisdom feels like vanity. leave your tithings at the base of my mountain, lowly ones. my shrinks have been fairly unanimous in their insistence that delusions of grandeur are not to be mistaken for healthy self-esteem.

in the considerable psychotherapy i've had for my ravaged self-esteem, the healing hope lives in that sense of pride. i'm fine just the way i am, scars and all.

That space of reality in being able to identify the healthy places to reach out, outside of one’s self, is pretty solid navigation. Awareness Badge for Markus! Haha
