HRT update
So, my new VA-paid endocrinologist ran all the bloodwork that they were SUPPOSED to be doing on me, and instead of reducing my T, increased the dosage by half again. I'm now taking 3 pumps of the topical gel daily.
Immediate results?
I'm hyper. I have the appetite of a teenager again. I catch myself getting aggressively angry over nothing more often, .... I find myself trying to sleep in until noon - as I did when I was a teen. I'm up until 4 or 5 am, doing whatever around my apartment - the laundry, writing, listening to music - all at the same time. My shoulder muscles - where the T gel gets applied - have tightened up painfully. I am loosing inches around my body, not weight; and I want to eat nearly everything in sight. Oh, and I am so horny it hurts. It hurts a lot.
She - endocrinologist - says she's trying to get my T levels up to 235; which I understand is in the lower acceptable range - but this is going to take some adjusting to.
In other news, my local community college is offering a class - paid for by a local business - called Accelerated Machinist; plus a scholarship for it. The local business is doing this because they can't find enough trained engineers to hire,... so it's basically a train-to-hire sort of thing. I've put my name in for the scholarship, and registered for the class. Can't hurt to get another skill; might lead to a career.
I just hope the adjustments to my new T dosage don't mess this up.
