How to make sense of this hurdle

I know I've encouraged many people along their daily path here. Now I'm struggling to see a way forward for myself with an attempt at a major goal myself or at least conceiving it. Yesterday I wrote to a friend asking what he thought about that fact, as I was reflecting on my life. Since my illness manifested, in a major way, my socializing a natural leaning towards couplehood has fallen by the wayside. I've wondered too that it feels as though I should be doing something with my life. The leap to do it seems huge. I'm inspired by Rich's strength and courage and determination. I suppose talking it out here is helping me find sense to it. Much like my therapist helps me make sense of my life as well. Yesterday was a good day. I find myself feeling confident and satisfied with how I'm spending my weekend. I don't feel lost. There is a tug to make some decisions but perhaps it's important as well to be grateful and recognize my achievements that I've made already.

i guess I'm asking myself if it's ok if this is it? Again I'm grateful. I suppose with any leap forward there has to be some acceptance of dealing with the unknown and so to find something within to hold onto is needed. Perhaps just the reasoning it out will help.

You never know if you don’t try. That seems like a regurgitated line but it’s true. When thinking about anything really, you can’t let the negative What Ifs overshadow the positive What Ifs!

I know that feeling of damaged self that mental health diagnoses can create. But anything is possible. Truly, anything is possible.

The very reason it is unknown is why it's experience, determination, courage, bravery, and adventure. Take the first step forward, one step at a time.

the more i accept what is, the more of my own focus and attention i have to make creative use of what is available. that ties in neatly with that axiom, "success is getting what i want. happiness is wanting what i get."

go for the happiness.

have you pulled those art supplies out of the moth balls yet?
