How To Deal With The Aftermath??
So my fiancee and I bought a home in January and a new to us used to others SUV in June. We could afford it. But we were counting on my income. My mat leave ended in August and I can't find a job. The pickings are slim, plus I have a heart condition that means alot of places won't hire me. We are strapped.
We talked it out and decided to swallow our pride and ask his parents for a loan. Something we have never done in the 5 years we have been together, but if we don't get money my daughter will go without milk and diapers and that can't happen.
So, now I'm worried about how to deal with the aftermath. His family, immediate(MIL) and extended are a rumor mill. And they all know I'm not bringing in any money. I have no doubt in my mind that someone will bring up something about me being a lazy bum and Joey having to beg off his parents. I'm sick with worry about how to handle that. I'm trying to find a job, it isn't working!
Not only do I have a heart condition, I've gotten used to that, but due to it I can never get a drivers license, so my job search area is limited. I'm just stressed and pissy over the whole thing. I'm going to keep looking but it's going to be hard to ignore the remarks.

It\'s horrible that you have a heart condition that prevents so many things. That\'s stressful enough in itself.
I know it\'s horrible that you can\'t find a job. I feel really bad for you in that sense. However, with you taking care of the LO and you being more limited in what you can do, it seems that before going without your husband should consider working more. (I\'m not trying to sound know-it-all or anything.) I just know that my DH and I had this conversation yesterday. I\'m planning on quitting my job when this next baby is born and as much as I\'m excited and can\'t wait to be a SAHM, on paper, looking at our finances, there\'s no way that we are going to make it. However, things always have a way of working themselves out. And my husband just said if he has to get another job working a couple of nights a week for a few hundred dollars a month then that\'s what he\'ll have to do.
Of course, there\'s only so long that a person can work that long and hard.
Have you thought of opening your own daycare in-home or just watching one or two other children? That\'s something that I\'ve considered as well but haven\'t taken the leap yet. Right now I\'m selling Lia Sophia jewelry to make some extra income.
Good luck!
We have actually discussed him picking up a part time job. But as it is, he had a kidney transplant five years ago and he is limited in his jobs as well. A sorry pair we are! Plus, his family is terrible. And I have put up with so much, I don\'t think I could handle hearing people say over and over again how I am \'killing him because I just want to sit at home and do nothing.\'
I am actually working on in home care right now. I used to have a little girl but they moved. And I live in a smaller city and recentley an eighteen month old girl was killed in a day home due to negligence and bodily harm. So right now people are scared to leave their kids in a strangers care.
I\'m going to keep looking, eventually I\'ll find something! I hope! LOL
