good mid afternoon.........said this late rising reporter.
there are branches down from the recent storm activity.......the back yard is a field of dandelions.....bright yellow bits of sunshine dotting the green.
A small lizard scooting across the patio.......a squirrel busily eating a snack ...........good idea, grab a banana & start peeling it. nanners are yummy! i can hear the buzz of a lawn mower in the distance - glad that Bruce is returning to mow manana.
I am making chicken for tonight. Big Lots was selling Larry the Cable Guy chicken batter. For $1 a box. So I'm trying it out today. Browned the chicken in the skillet and now it's crackling away in the oven. I'm starting to smell a bit of garlic and other spices, nice! Git 'er done!
Noooooooo, I haven't taken on the oven yet. Just dangling my toes in the water and thinking so what? Later is fine. It would be cool if someone appeared at my front door saying I've just won a lifetime of free cleaning.......or how about a trip to a place where cleaning chores magically disappear and the view is grand! Maybe in say beautiful Durango, Colorado for the whole of summer. I could live next to a cool clear rushing stream by a cabin.
The view is incredible......so many wildflowers in the fields........surrounded by majestic mountains. All we need is to get somebody tall to sign our summer field trip passes......Durango, Colorado is very beautiful!
According to the guests of Trip Advisor these o-bar-o cabins are "the Ritz Carlton of cabins"....as long as we're dreaming, why not go five star???? Isn't Durango purty???
During the storm last night, Rio got scared - flew off my lap, those back claws dug in, I howled, Rio hid under the bed. Later he came to me and cried out his fears........he's a talker. He needs to go to the vet in the next little while for a quick test. He won't like it but kitty wellness care is not open for discussion.
Annie greets me as I sit up in the morning.........I rub her neck and stroke her fur for a good while........it's not as good to her as sitting on my collar bone, but trust me.....Annie you're a full growed kitty now and you weigh too much to sit on me that-a-way.
Rio is more adjustable, if he can't sit on my lap, he just hunts for another spot to lie as close as he can get. Usually next to my legs one way or another. He's a funny, loving sleek beautiful boy. He's so long when he stretches out now. Annie Green Eyes and Rio Burrito Houdini Cha Cha Grayfur are both healthy, have shiny coats, lovable - have adorable ways. They love to race and play.......Annie likes the high road and Rio the low road...............So Annie will walk around the perimeter of the bed - Rio will dart one paw up to the top to swipe at Annie and it's on........then the next time Annie will downswipe Rio and off they go...................they love to run up and down the stair racetrack, vroom vroom!
The chicken finished baking, I tried a piece, it's very tasty. Crispy and flavorful. Some silly things are irresistible to me.......I like playful comic foolishness! When I was looking for a picture of the chicken dip.....I saw Amazon selling it for $7.94 a box.......what??? Wow. No.........i would not pay $8 for a box of flour and spices to dip chicken in, but a buck? Yeah, deal me in................I think the storms are behind us for a couple of days, predicting more rain for Thursday - good ! I won't have to water as much.
I've been doing the odd chore here and there, so things don't back up too much. Threw the shower liner in the washer with bleach, it's CRYSTAL CLEAR again. Lahhhhhhhhhh! Made the bed up the other day, much appreciated by this mega rester!
Feel like I have terminal sinus issues now. Every day I've got problems with my ears/nose/throat......eyes. It's probably all heightened cause of Sjogren's.........last night I had an itchy throat, kept coughing.....not today. Now it's pain in my ears.......I put my hands on my head, close my ear flaps down and for a bit it feels better. Maybe I should tell some doctor or other. I don't know, can somebody become more and more and more allergic to planet earth every season? Cause I think that's my new M.O. I'll be the only one on my block with a muffler wrapped round my throat in June......in the South........pretty noticeable. lahhhh lah lah. glands are tender - skin is too cool.
not daid...........not daid by a long shot..........(that's southern drawl for dead and you drag it out, daaaaid). If this is to be my lot in life i'd better apply for something to do or be in my old age. i saw a learn to knit class at the local library tomorrow. they said to bring needles and yarn. i have no clue what to buy.......their are lots of needle sizes and so many types of yarn. Trying to decide if knitting would help or hurt my arthritis, probably both. It would be nice to meet some new people, it's tomorrow at ? well, in the afternoon. i would like to see and listen to grown folks talk about anything........i'm ready mentallly, maybe not physically. i was thinking i could go, learn what to get......and then have a clue on how to create a knitter's starting kit. whenever i can. sure would be nice to learn how to knit. i could make a pretty new muffler...............lol..........ha ha ho ho hee hee. love to all, see ya later b-y-e!
the lady from the mortgage company called, they got my paperwork via the fax today, she thinks they will be able to get everything in the works by the end of the week. that means the monthly payment will go back down soon........to an amount very similar to what i was paying. goooood. feel like i can breathe much easier again. getting closer and closer to being back on track budget wise. sweet..........!!!! that whole thing freaked me out. am i independent or too stubborn for my own good? both.......not ready for my kids to have to take on stuff like this if at all possible. because of the way it all hit my slow moving processing brain it sure caused a ruckus. if they (any of the they....from the insurance company, the mortgage company or the brokering agent had sent me an e-mail ......I would never have gotten into such a mess.
no more babbling from me today. tonight's menu? slices of crispy chicken atop a bed of fresh garden greens w/ homemade ranch dressing and a small loaf of brown bread. that's the plan........talk to ya'll later!....and if there is any room left over.....a small slice of melon........hugs!!!!

From one late riser to another - good afternoon ! Nutrient wrong with a nice long lie on occasion ! Now dandelions I like, I know they are classed as a weed and hated by proper gardeners but I think they are kinda pretty and love them even more when they turn fluffy, brings back childhood memories of blowing them to supposedly tell the time. The stems do unfortunately stain your fingers brown if you handle them too much. Oven cleaning sounds a pest, I have my own method, just shut the door, can\'t see it needs clean - crisis averted. I hope your sinus issues clear up soon. If you don\'t make it to the knitting class but still want to try you should have a look on youtube, just type knitting for beginners in the search bar and lots of handy videos will come up, not the same as getting out and meeting real life people but handy. You can learn how to do just about anything on there. I learnt how to put wall tiles up from using it.
