how do you climb that mountain

I went to yoga today. Sunday is the day for the long rigorous class.

I was mighty sleepy when it started but then it woke me up - and was a good exercise.

I came back to my apartment, whereas usually I would go to my parents' house, they have an

emergency and so I just came home.

I made a pot of coffee, ate a bowl of cereal and then at some grapeleaves wrapped around rice.

It's a greek thing and an aquired taste, but it's good to me.

Things are good, and I am faced with filling my day right now with things to do. I don't always have the presence of

mind to plan so much - but I am here now. Feeling the weight of the alone time weighing on my body and mind.

So I am thinking to myself, 'we all have to be in charge of and fill our down time." How do you climb that mountain?

I am kind of putting that question out there or really just thinking about it. I might go for a walk. I also know I have to wash my bed linens and duvet cover.

Things are good, I feel even better for writing, just seems like I am 'waiting my life through.' But I won't focus on the

ideas like that - I'll just climb the hill or the mountain and get going on my day. We all have to do it.

Normally I take a nap. That keeps me from eating.

My borrowed term for the preferred way I climb the empty schedule mountain is, "Busying Out." I borrowed the term from a work-a-holic who takes the tool to destructive extremes, but one person's excess doesn't invalidate the tool. When I busy out instead of letting go mad from the deafening of lonely silence, I just let my hands go from one little bit of busy work to another. When I need exercise, I busy out around the community, looking for litter to pick up, trash cans to set straight or whatever. Anything to distract me from that empty schedule. I lay in craft projects and puzzles for the sake of busy work.

Laundry makes a great start.
