How did this happen?
Considering all the aggravations of the week, I have one question about the day: How did this one come off?
So, Joanna, the classmate who wanted to be sure I was okay (yes, we quick-introed each other) wasn't in for lab session today; she had an emergency. Actually a lot of the groups were in shambles because it seemed half the section was late...just not me.
We were supposed to group up on our own again, you know how I feel about that. The only thing I knew was that I didn't want the group from last week after my part blowup part breakdown basically alienated them.
But I don't have the option of working solo. So by random draw. I ended up in a group with two guys and one girl. Before I could even move to their table the girl gave me a smile with a particular look in her eyes; I think she knew I was anxious. The eyes said, "Come on...I'll help you get through this."
And so we did...it wasn't very pretty because we kinda strugged with the actual execution and I don't quite have a hold of the density and significant figures concepts yet. Part of me wishes I'd asked her if she could explain some of it to me, but in the heat of that moment, just actually attempting the lab was difficult enough after a miss and a bailout...even with Noumba (that's the name of this second classmate) around with the other two guys to assist, it was nerve-wracking for me.
"Please forgive me," I conceded at one point. "I'm not the best at being open to unfamiliars." She understood. It was all that mattered.
No progress on the YouTube snipe hunt today, but after finishing the lab and collecting a quick KO on the only assignment I needed to do for Tuesday (get it out of there), my brain had seen enough for the day. But that's okay; reviewing for family law exam shouldn't be too hard because I have all the notes I need, so I have a good five or six days and nights to fill in the blanks somehow.
