How could I be so stupid
So I did a rookie mistake and Im so cross with myself for doing it, as you know I interview bands for my podcast, I do this over zoom and record them, while I dont have the paid version of zoom so if I have a full band (More than 3 people) then i have a time limit of 40 mins to talk, first of all we started it late coz the one band member cudnt connect, when he finally did connect we only had 20 mins talk time left till zoom was gonna cut the call, in this instance I cut the call 2 mins before it cuts me off and then I send the band members another link and then they rejoin and we good to go for another 40 mins, while when they rejoined the call, I forgot to push record (such a rookie mistake), so the whole 2nd part of the interview was a waste and not recorded. Im so upset and cross. because we actually had a good chat in the 2nd half and spoke about cool things and none of it was recorded. I havent even told the band yet, I need to tell them that we need to rerecord the 2nd part again, I hope they dont get cross and also I hope we can recapture the magic of the interview when we first did it. agghhhÂ
anyway so apart from that, I seem to have a tummy bug, it started last night actually, infact after the said interview so it just feels like something is over me and attacking me. the tummy bug lead to the next day (today) and Im still suffering, Im too scared to eat anything incase it causes me to have to run (Sorry TMI lol)
anyway hows your week going? Good thing is it is almost Friday and I will be releasing another podcast, (one that I actually remembered to push record lol)

in my graphic art studios we have had more than one debate over whether such mistakes are "rookie" or "veteran over-confidence." in my personal herstory, veteran over-confidence is the more common cause. as a rookie, i'm generally humble enough to double check myself.
be that as it may, here's to hoping the band has a forgiving nature. maybe if you call that first take, "rehearsal?"

Don't beat yourself up too much. I think we've all been there, making silly mistakes. Their pretty much inevitable, unfortunately. The only thing we can do is learn from them. I hope your tummy feels better!
