House Warming Party

   We are having our house warming party this Friday.  Ack!   That means I have to have the house clean and all the way unpacked by Friday.  Not such a big deal, but I'm waiting on my fiancee to hook up our entertainment unit stuff.  I don't dare touch it, it's his baby!  We have spent four years and 4000 building it from scratch....he's the one who know's what goes where.   He doesn't seem to be in a rush at all, he thinks that if I have a day that I should be good.  Our house is 5 bedrooms, it has 2 and a half bathrooms, its 1200 sq ft.  And I have a 5 month old daughter who is breaking her first tooth.  I need more than a day.   Also, what do you need to throw a party?  Should I go buy a bunch of snacks and make punch?  Or, since people are bringing booze, do I just supply some orange juice?  I made it clear to my fiancee that there cannot be any drugs(he works in construction) in the house....so I'm thinking that there will be some drunk construction workers wandering around.   I'm worried about making a bad impression on our new neighbours.  But then on top of that, if I can't find a babysitter for our daughter, I have to watch her and the drunk people!   I want to enjoy it as much as everyone else but I'm too much of a worry wart.  I'm worried about the neighbours, I'm worried about the condition of my house, I'm worried about drugs.....   I think they will respect my wishes there, because Joey's work buddies know I have no qualms with tossing them out by the seat of their pants if I think they are carrying anything.  Oh well....wish me luck....I'll try to corral the ruffians and soothe the neighbours if they get irate!
