Hour on the Treadmill

I did make it to the gym today with my buddy... we spent an hour on the treadmill, which is the longest I have been able to tolerate. It's so boring to me.. I would much rather walk the bike paths and look at all the natural beauty, not just staring either at the TV or at the clock. You don't notice an hour passing when you are outside. I also walk faster outside than I do in the gym. I did manage to burn 300 calories, though, so that was good. I have to keep up with my exercise... I can't keep gaining weight. I decided to only weigh twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) so my focus isn't totally on the scale. It's going to take a lot of willpower, but I can do it. I see that I have lost weight and then go out to eat and push that weight back up. If I'm not checking the scale daily there should be less of those instances. I just need to keep up with aerobics and volunteering. I've been pretty stable lately, even with major drama-llama. I sometimes feel like crying, but only at night. Maybe my Prozac needs to be upped. I will go to my psych sometime this week to talk to him about it. I'm on a lower dose of Haldol as well... I'm doing good with that, though.. I don't need the 20mg that he put me on. I was getting akathisia when I was on 20mg, so I cut it to 10 and it's been working fine. I just need a minor med tweak.

wow, that\'s incredible, an hour on the treadmill! I agree with you about the time dragging and how boring but you stuck it through! great idea about not weighing yourself every day, that will be a huge step. I am so happy you are doing so good and seem very hapy, it is about time for you. I hope this continues. hugss
