Hospitalization One Year Later
A year ago, I checked myself into a psychiatric hospital. I was at the end and needed to be locked up to stay my hand. They watched me 24/7 every three minutes to make sure I was still among the living. My drugs were all screwed up, the anti-depressants were making me worse. I went in and out of mania but the docs didn't really know what was going - the military PDoc and TDoc don't deal with Bipolar and also rarely PTSD. My depression was the overriding feature. They got my drugs sort of right. I took a year of tweaking to get it more effective.
I think about my time in the hospital, I want to go back daily. Not sure I understand why. But, I got better.

Big hug for you Thor.... I'm so glad that your hospital stay made such a positive difference.... I think when you're in a place that takes all other stresses off you other then getting stable it can really help.....xo
Thanks. It is hard to see the sum of the good for the daily bad we deal with.
