hope you had a good day.......night!

i got 5 inches of hair lopped off today..........i may hate it tomorrow, but it feeeeeels so much lighter.  feels like freedom, less weight to carry.......feels lighter when i shake my head.  whoooooweeee yay.

no more pony tail for awhile.......spoke to sam yesterday at the San Francisco airport......not sure what time he landed in Hawaii......but I'm hoping he will make time to play while he's there for his conference.  ....thinking of leis, beach breezes........all that sand to walk on.......hearing and watching the surf break against the shore......ahhhhhhhh.

i overdid it today and i'm trying to not overdread tonight and tomorrow.  the pain is shooting down my left leg and when i sit in my favorite chair i'm using several pillows to ease the ache.......but i keep shifting every few minutes.   yikes......

i treated myself to a skinny rib eye tonight.  sooo delicious.  had a baked potato, mushrooms and that steak!  feel like somebody after eating such a fine meal! 

after Samantha cut my hair.........I really like her by the way.  She's nice.......listens and she's skillful with hair.  she has two little girls, a 3 year old and another daughter almost 2.  the last place i went the lady was bullying me into what she wanted to do to my hair....treated me like i was a moron......just because it takes me a little longer to articulate at times doesn't mean the mind is not still intact.  i kept her card to remind me to never go back.  and i took samantha's card for the complete opposite reason!

it was a really nice experience.....so happy to have found a good hairdresser finally.  the back goes to the bottom on my neck.......the sides are a bit shorter with lots of layers all around.  i can put mousse in it, scrunch it and let it air dry.  i can still set it in electric rollers for fancier lady lunches.......this is what i did before, but it's a lot less hair to cope with.  every once in a while i get in that moooood.  i want it out of my way........

so what else did i do today?  hmmmm, trying to remember.  went to the dollar store and realized i didn't have my list.  took me a long time to remember that i wanted kleenex, glass cleaner and dish liquid......then i added hand soap, conditioner and something else.  no clue .......it's still weird to me to buy these things at the dollar store.  the dish liquid isn't as good......but the other items are a really good deal. 

then i went to Goodwill, i found a v necked black t shirt that i really like......it's longer than most t shirts, which i really like i like the shirt to hit me at the hips......cover my bum if you will.  this one filled the bill, a really good quality t ........it will look great with white capris.  and i found an odd thing.  it's made of metal, has an aged quality to it........has two baskets.  it's really cool, not sure if it will live in the kitchen as a fruit/veggie basket or if i'll put plants in it and put it on the front porch.  it's one of those things that costs over $30 normally at a home decor store but for under $4 it became mine all mine!  i went to a new to me thrift store next......it's called Mia's thrift....yes Mia just like my kitty.  I had a couple of nice conversations there and came home with a gold glass bowl made by southern living and a white and gold basket.  sooo cheap, happy finds!

then i went to ingles to get trash bags and fresh fruit.  it was so good to get home, make dinner and call it a day!

the only thing bugging me is that Kevin the yard tidier guy didn't come back as promised on Friday and Bruce never showed up yesterday or today to cut the yard.  i'm pretty laid back but sometimes i wish they would try to do what they say they will.  because kevin was coming i got into street clothes before  9 pm, so i wouldn't come off as the lady who only wears jammies all day long.  not a biggie........i got the trash to the curb and brought in the mail. 

this week i managed to get toilet paper, paper towels, kitty litter, kitty food and the other things mentioned above.  i can chill for a good while again........got laundry detergent too.  all that big stuff .......it's here, all restocked and now i can be ok for a long time.  happy dance.....in my head.  i've been having some blood pressure issues lately.  the dizzy thing, the pressure thing, last night i stood up and went down in my chair. waited a while, took my time and made it to my quad cane......it was about three feet away.  i use the cane, then stop to do something, leave the cane where it sits and then when i need it it's over there.............sheez.  trying to be better at keeping it close.  it's a really good steadying influence. 

gonna get a glass of fake juice and sit in the comfy chair, betting that i can find something good to watch, a story that will take me out of my own head and into the land of imagination!

hugs all around......next week dr appts, but i've got several days to rebuild from today's exertions.  thankful for that, for this sanctuary.......night night!
