Honest Kids
I absolutely love that my kids are so darned honest!! They are amazing and sometimes (even at their ages) it is really cute. I especially love when my son, who is taller than me, walks in the house and says, "mamma, did you happen to get a call from the school today because...I think I'm gonna be grounded"
That being said, I sure wish they would learn the gift of the brief explanation!! My son is famous for saying WAY more than mamma would like: Oh yes, I missed yesterday because my mom had parental failure. She was up most of the night and we missed the school bus and she just made an executive decision that it was too much trouble to get us all around and drive up here.
On the other hand, my daughter will say WAY too little: I'm sorry I dozed off in class, I've been up for 48 hours.
I often have visions of CPS visits in my head! I don't want my kids to lie - but really, we overslept would have worked and I have been up for 48 hours because of this injury on my leg making it almost impossible to sleep would have been much better!!!

You have beautiful children! Coach them on appropriate responses to things--at least they\'re honest for sure! That\'s the most important thing! I would be so proud if I ever raised honest kids. You are such a good mom! :) HUGS
Oh Rani that has really made me smile!!
Obviously not happy that you have all had so little sleep and didn\'t know you had a bad leg - hope its mending.
Thanks you for sharing this and making me smile, kids are wonderful, I can\'t wait for the day I ever become a Grandma and get all those joys again xx
