home now, weekend begins
I am home now from work. Things went ok I think in terms of what I did.
I had a brief encounter with the sanitation worker at the dumpsters...it was totally
weird but it made me think of how hard that job must be.
Now I am here, and I ate a meal and am having a weekend celebration drink.
I am trying to not let the feelings of woe that come with a disorganized (so I am learning)
detract from me appreciating the day. I'll try not to be underwater and think about things with
clarity, think about things that ground me (as we spoke about in session Friday.)
I love Saturdays after work. It's my fav day I think. The day at work, today, though it went well in terms
of what I did, really mad me exhausted and withering by the end of it.
I am recouping and gathering my senses. I have a whole weekend ahead.
Will watch some good shows on the tely, and walk to the bakery to get a coffee later. I'll go to yoga tomorrow
and then to my parents' after that. Then I will go to yoga on Monday as well.
We were talking about things yesterday and my therapist mentioned to me yesterday that there's something to notice in regards to how I have held onto my
job for nearly 8 years now. I have been tenacious. Just thoughts.
I hope you guys are doing ok. Honestly I wish there were a virtual reality living room that we all could plug into
and chat - and throw a cushion or two at each other just for fun. :)
Happy Weekend!

Thanks Jan!!!xx
Trash collectors and landfill operators get my vote as the greatest unsung heroes of the consumer age, Anywhere Planet Earth, especially in the places where you have "First World" waste of "Third World" resources. If you want an entertaining tour of that piece of progressive denial, catch the movie, "Trash." GREAT movie. For a not so entertaining tour, read the book. Maintaining the NIMBY realities consumer denial is not a small job.
You mean DS is NOT a virtual reality living room? Wanna bet your fortune cookie on that one?
8 years on one job is an impressive bullet on a resume here in the 21st century. I've seen doors to great job opportunities open on less. For what it's worth. . .
Thanks Arfie!! You make me laugh!!! Throwing a couch cushion at ya just for fun xo
Hope you enjoy that weekend drink Mark!! 8 years is a good run my friend! I've done my inside chores, ran my errands and am being lazy now waiting for it to cool off so I can get my gardening done, which won't be until after 7:00 p.m., high today was 95 with a heat index of 101....so too damn hot to be out in the garden!
Keep cool Kat! Sending good vibes your way!! I have images of your beautiful garden in mind!!!
