Home from IVIG!
Have I said lately how much I enjoy Dr. Peltier. I travelled to Milwaukee, sick as a dog with a very painful sinus infection, to start this months IVIG rounds. Of course, even though I had called and informed them of my troubles and they okayed me to come down, they wouldn't start my infusion until she cleared me. She cleared me and got me on an antibiotic. I did the treatments outpatient again, and was waiting for my friend in the lounge at the entryway of the hospital the first evening, when someone tapped me on the shoulder. Thinking it was my girlfriend, I turned around to see Dr. Peltier. She was on her way home, saw me sitting there, and decided to check on me! We had a wonderful little visit, and she reassured me that she was on call, so I should feel free to have the infusion clinic call her if I have anymore problems. What a special lady she is!! And to recognize me in a lounge after not having seen me for a week and to take the time to visit with me with non-billable time. LOL I am impressed.
Now, if only this infection would go away, IVIG went quite well.

Debbie, I sounds like you are in good hands when you go for your IVIG treatments. Sounds like your Doc is a keeper. Hope that nasty sinus infection clears up real soon and you start to feel better soon. One thing I started to do is send a card to the doctors and nurses that are caring and good at their job. It makes them feel appreciated and you don\'t find ones like you mentioned very often. Glad you have her.
Tough, positive, caring people?
Always - recognize each other!
