holidays

Its almost Christmas and I was someone that enjoyed it more than the average person, I could listen to xmas music all year , put my tree up at seeing one flake, have had it up in October !Once in July !!! Its up now but there was no thought into it,presents are bought and wrapped , I have no feeling other than I want it over, Giz loved christmas, I dont know how a little dog could know what day it was but come christmas morning he'd be running from gate to gate trying to get in the dining room where I have the tree, he'd be jumping with excitement when we'd let them in there and this year he wont be here with me, I cannot stand to hear a christmas song , as soon as I hear one I change the station, Keegan never realized it was a special day he just knew he had many new toys and it will be Baileys first christmas, I dont know how the day will go, I cant think about him all alone in the cold in my yard while we're supposed to be enjoying the day, god how that little guy loved christmas, so like a child, I would always wonder how he knew ..even when we had presents for them , they'd be wrapped, and they didnt go in that room , but he'd go gate to gate crying and my hub and I would just be amazed, like he could smell them, i dont know how to prepare myself for what I know will be a sad morning , I cant help it, I see that little face in my mind and I cant stand it, I want it over..theres no excitement or even a twinge of happiness over this holiday just dread

hi hun, remember that your lovely little gizzie will always be with you, because unlike some people you will always keep gizzie in your heart,i truly believe that when people or pets we love pass on,they will never be really gone as long as we remember them,so on christmas morning go into your yard with his favourite treat and lay it on his resting place and tell him you still love him and will always remember him,i still do that for my pets even though it is years later,,my husband thinks i am a little weird but says,as long as it helps me it is ok,my little dog jake didn\'t like christmas at one time,as soon as he saw us putting up the decs,he would find a corner to hide in,i think it was because he was taken by his people and placed in the dogs home on christmas eve,but now he loves it he has finally got the message that he is staying with us,i know when his time comes i am going to be a carbon copy of you ,so remember you can cry to me about gizzie any time you like, love and hugs, helen.

Hi Bonni! I sure wish I could change things for you to make this holiday what it should be. You keep all of those wonderful and cherished memories of Giz and know that he is with you in spirit- God I HAVE to believe that too with my Serina! We will go to them and they will be loving us back, always. Our hearts will be heavy, especially at this time. I really enjoyed your story of how Giz knew when Christmas was- just so sweet, loving, and intelligent! Try to remember all the good times and feelings. That\'s what I\'m going to try to focus on. Kiss Bailey for me and know I\'m thinking of you! So many HUGS and lots of love, Laurie
