"holding on and letting go"

I found today as I started work that it was so essential to

keep positive, keep a sense of 'time keeping' (to keep on schedule) as well as focus on the quality I wanted

and needed to do.

I found myself noticing so much that folks seemed to want to knock me as I worked

and I took that as a key cue to stay in my own lane and yet be a giving human

still -

I was given a link to a vedic meditation site yesterday - and the introduction

spoke about how we're always in a process of "holding on and letting go" -

such amazing wisdom.

I found myself having better cognition about the things I wanted from folks -

like the person I was interested in -

as well as the feedback I was getting. I think I can be bizarrely tenacious when

in essence I need to have some self awareness that there would have been

some feedback already - I need to cut that window of decision shorter in the future...now that I have put together a reasoning.

It's like boundaries dropped today at work and I was just open and yet staying in my own lane

taking care and did good work - regarding coworkers' states of mind - and ok with it - it was a good day.

the drive home was boring and anxious producing (as usual) but it made me aware of relating to my environment and

how that's a big influence on me -

It's a quiet day here - I was thinking about going to the Gardens of the World

and for some reason I feel fear about going out there and pursuing my life -

I suppose that's something to think about and to keep on keeping on.

I just dropped some things at the Goodwill and then stopped at Vons to get

some beer. Not a good idea maybe, but I won't abuse it.

I'm looking forward to the monastery and maybe as my Dad mentioned it will 'be

a fresh start' ..

Life is frightening. I wish I had more control over my future (aka $) but I think

this trip will be very good for my life. I am so grateful I'll keep in touch with my therapist.

Sending peace and thanks,

mark

i love to use closet cleaning analogies when meditating on that balance between letting go and holding on. there is much in life worth holding onto, but it is sweet to be able to open a door without surviving avalanches of unloved treasures which are serving no useful purpose.

I will be looking up vedic meditation site, thank you for writing about this very Hard Topic of "holding on and letting go"...it's huge I think in life, and encompasses So Much!

For me, it's a process, a step forward, and maybe two steps back, all to learn the lessons of life.

I'm so sorry that you were challenged by your coworkers...good on you for "keeping on keeping on"

You are So Brave to be making such a huge move to the monetary! I do hope living there will be all you want...if not, well then just shift
