Holding high hopes
It has been over 2 weeks that i stared talking to A and each day seeing her gets better and better. Tonight we went a country swing class and (kind of) learned to swing dance. From other things i studied from old football habits to some marital arts i took, the balance is all diferent and i really struggled at first. but slowly i got it, the class switched partners again and agian to get a different feel from each person. it really helped as when i got back to A i was doing a lot better. Lol, she told me to relax, THEN proceeded to tell me your too far, your too close, and complained in a funny wonderful way of basically NOT relaxing.
This is wonderful, there definately is a connection there but it is so very wonderful to have the relationship not based on physical, sexual for satisfaction. Not one kiss (yet), but she loves cuddleing and playing with my hand with her fingers. but she really wants the bond of friendship and communication, which she is very good at and it sounds wonderful in her native Jamacian accent. She made me dinner and Jamacian food is incredible, spicy, but incredible.
tomorrow were going to a black tie extraviganza and dance some more. she gets more and more comfortable evry day both in person and on the phone. She loves old black and white movies, told me to watch 'Gaslight' which i had never seen. it was really good so if anyone can tell me a good old black and white movie we can watch i'd appreciate it.
I have to say again, i'm really glad i didn't give in and give up on hope. who knows what will happen tommorow, but tonight I'm happy. God Bless

So so happy for you xx
At the risk of going "Nay-sayer" on you, I often wonder if inflated expectations are the biggest single cause the 21st century tradition of toxic break-up syndrome. Great relationships are built on realistic expectations that can survive the end of that first romantic flush.
Now that I have *that* out of my system.
Congratulations. May the magic grow and grow to thoroughly unexpected places.
Q: Do you know what *they* call CW line dancing?
A: Proof that cousins shouldn't interbreed.
I tell that joke very tongue in cheek. None of my blood cousins like country western anything. All the more reason for me to love it.
You sound like you are in a good place! Hugs!
<3 I know the feeling. It is an amazing one, isn’t it?
What a wonderful journal! I love that you both are developing a relationship based on friendship & definitely communication first.
