hit a rock on the road
I was driving to work earlier this morning and it was storming out
and was still dark (at around 4am).
I was driving over the mountain pass between Agoura Hills and Malibu.
During most rains, rocks fall off the mountainside into the road.
This morning I didn't see one and I hit it - my tire blew out
and I had to call AAA. I thought I had a spare tire but do not
and so we had to tow the car to the tire shop. I was not able
to go to work as I had no car.
Anyways, I am here at home and I'm just having waves of depression.
I chock it up to the fact that I wasn't able to go to work (the lack of income that results
is not good.) Anyways, I am grateful I am ok and it's just a tire.
Will go back to watching tv and call the shop at 8am when they open.
Peace to you guys and have a good day!!

Sorry that happened to you Mark.. Glad you are okay.
Thanks Becky!
Hope the day gets better. It sucks, but yes, at the end of the day it’s just a tire.
Thanks
Cars are nifty conveniences until a harsh reminder of who is REALLY the owner in the car/driver relationship. Them buggers sure do know how to monopolize a budget. Glad you lived to tell the tale. Is there any hope of picking up an extra shift to compensate?
Thanks Arfie! That’s a good idea. I perform a specific function and I don’t know if they could use me at a different time. My function wouldn’t be so relevant outside my usual time frame.
You are safe. Hope all works out well.
thanks!
Grateful you have AAA and that you were not hurt!! Yes frustrating, Arfie had a good idea that you might be able to work a couple of hours doing something else...hope so :) Try to enjoy the day, for Blue :) happy to have you home
Thanks guys!
Really glad your safe and nothing bad happened. Hang in there!
Thanks Kat!
