hi, thank the lord for the nighttime......forget the day!
meeting with a realtor is primarily a fishing expedition. need to see if home values have increased enough for me to consider selling. if not, i'll have to wait. if so, i'll fill out the application for the 55+ place.......
i have to decrease my financial footprint. an apartment would cut all my costs by 50%. this would allow me to better care for myself medically. something that is very important.
it will be hard to say good bye to this place.......i think of all the plants i've brought up from seeds, from bulbs, from little plant babies.......but the other hand says i won't need to worry about all this yard, all the things a home needs maintenance wise. it's a burden.......gotta weigh the good with the not so good.
if i move into an apartment there will be neighbors all around me in close proximity. will we all get along? nah, but it will increase my ability to socialise greatly. people my age, people with common interests.......could be good for me. the manager of the property gave me pause......she is tough, defensive....not easy for me to like. i'll have to try for my own sake to make really good decisions.
it's easy to romanticise this place, but how does it work for my lifestyle. i always said that when property values returned i'd want to be ready to go......grab the brass ring. no time to get cold feet.
it may be too soon........we'll see. i made a list the other night about each room, the garage, the outdoors and it is a lot. to sort out........a big undertaking. not sure how this can all come to pass.......time for prayer, thought and careful planning.
......the baby shower was really nice. wish you could have seen the cake table. sara's mother in law created a beautiful garden of cakes, mints, tiny petit fours.....flowers........it was as if heaven opened up and let beauty in celebration of new life loose on this happy event for this about to be mother. really really lovely! soft blues and whites......sweet blue hydrangea......pretty gone wild in a very soft way!
we had a private room.....lots of lovely ladies bearing gifts for the baby on the way........things i've never seen or heard of....and the tiny clothes, so dear........makes me want a baby.......remember that soft sweet clean smell of a babe in your arms? nothing better.........
we enjoyed salad, good italian food.......games followed by delicious cakes and homemade heart shaped mints.....there were so many flavors to choose from........chocolate layer cake infused with cream.......blueberry cake, blue velvet cake......coconut cake, white cake......we were surrounded with choices! and delicious juicy punch......nummers!
aftera that i headed back to my town to act as a museum volunteer. that went well, it was quiet and it was pouring rain off and on which was a bummer.....but the show must go on as they say in hollywood! visitors started to come in and look at the exhibits.....i spent time reading about our town.....it was interesting! after carol lynne and her hubby came to take their turn i hung out awhile talking with them then i headed over to main street and got a good walk in. looked at the various booths, watched the army reservists do the flag ceremony, it was very nice........our mayor gave a short speech......lots of kids, lots of food to be had........i got pizza from southern crusts. it's an antique pick up truck with a brick pizza oven attached ......interesting and fun! and before i left i got a big bag of fluffy pink cotton candy to take home. couldn't resist!
there were pony rides, a climbing wall, rides for the kids. it was nice........i forgot to take a chair along, but the truth is by 8 pm i was ready for home times two! my hair was crazy and soggy......my bones hurt......so home i went. heard fireworks surround me on all sides......wish i could have seen them, but my heart didn't want to do it alone. somethings are better in two's or in groups......
my dinner is done......it's almost midnight, a funny time to have dinner but since i slept all day and all evening i want some food no matter what time it is........my chores are pretty much done which helps me to relax. i have slider buns and some ground beef i broke up ......add some condiments and some mozzarella and my tummy will be happy in no time flat!
take care.........love you!!!!!!!!!

Love you right back Serce. I have faith in you Serce, you will make the best decision for you.
The manager woman, kind of sounds like a red flag to me. I agree that downsizing and being around people/neighbors is important. But please take your time seeing the place if you can in different times. Does that make sense?.
Your midnight supper sounds good. The baby shower sounded so nice. There was one Saturday for a member of Husbands family. I did not go but saw pictures. You take good care too. ♥ and greenies
