hi guys!

hi guys! Just starting the day here. I woke up and dressed and went to the Starbucks before it was light out.

It's neat to get there so early. The air outside is cold and the excitement about the start of the day is palpable. Birds are starting to sing and the unknown new day beckons. Now I am at home and I took a shower and dressed..just been watching the news about CORONAVIRUS. Weird times. I feel safe but also unsure if I should go out and do what I'd like to do. I will go to the bank in a couple hours and then visit the pub I like. I can't eat too much because already I have packed on the pounds in just this short time of being

on vacation. Looking for some meaning to the day and for now I will try and greet people whereever I go, community means a lot. Per arfie's idea - I'll be social. I'll go to the gym and yoga later too. Things are good.

I hope you guys are having a good start to your day as well! Sending xx!

I does like to do my own news research. One of the sidelines on that is tracking the bouts of public hysteria inspired by mainstream news coverage. The annual flu hysteria is an easy track. Flu seasons are as predictable as snow. The Talking Heads will hype it up for maximum ratings. I bumped into this little article during this year's research.

Yay you for noticing the palpable energies that start every day. Awareness isn't always pleasant, but it grows the world beyond the limits of Population One. Even on the bad days, being connected to the Bio-Web rocks.

I'm not sure they would be taking such steps as canceling the NBA, NHL and MLS Seasons indefinitely and other major public economic outings for just hype or hysteria, i.e. SXSW, Cochella...Universities moving to online classes only... Several States are now issuing bans on gatherings larger than 250 or 500 people. Its kind of hard to stop 500 people from gathering in NY, but they're doing it....hell as of today the MET is closed.

I don't think we can compare the Coronavirus to the flu....the flu never quite made it to Pandemic proportions. Also its not the Public that's reacting, it's the Government Officials that are in charge trying to stem the flow.

Staying out of high traffic area's if you don't need to be in them, away from tourist spots if you don't need to be at them, keeping very good personal hygiene after being out at the market or bank, or gym, etc. washing your hands and using the sanitizer, gyms provide at each equipment station (I hope your gym has sanitizer at the equipment stations). Not being overly social right now with strangers. Just using good common sense.

I'm not a "freak out about these kinds of things", kind of person....but sticking your head in the sand and inferring the reality is not happening...well that doesn't quite fit either.

The Stats on that report also show that comparing SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV just by the numbers is a little nuts. Those were both pretty quickly contained. MERS-CoV was 80% in Saudi Arabia. SARS-CoV in Asia spread to only 24 Countries and was contained in 4 months. There has not been a new case of SARS-CoV since 2004. Business Reports aren't always the best source of info.

Corona COVID-19 is in over 114 Countries with over 133,000 cases....and the U.S. is just getting started in this thing. So depending on how we deal with "Isolating" will be a big tell on Containment.

Yeah, just my 2 pennies worth...

Your 2 pennies might be the winning pennies, CPer. This really could be The Big One that will make us all glad for the toilet paper stockpiles. For sure, my soothsayer vision is not the clearest on the planet. If this is The Big One, I hope I can appreciate those palpable energies of life as I go. As Leonard Cohen put it,

Even though It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my lips but, "Hallelujah."

I’ll offer you both a gin and tonic and some cheese and crackers just for fun.:)

Damn I now regret the fact that I have an aversion to the "case style" toilet paper sizes. Have never liked them, just the 4 pack please. Now everyone is freaking out over toilet paper of all things.....and its not an easy thing to find.

I do however have a stockpile of Bath and Body Works hand soap, like 20 bottles, as I can never pass up a good $2.50/per bottle sale!! I'll have to find someone to trade soap for toilet paper for....perhaps a new form of currency when the US Dollar becomes worthless! LOL

I'll take a Tonic, Mark, hold the Gin....always up for cheese and crackers!!!

I'll take CPer's gin. Hold the tonic. Crackers and cheese go with anything. Even the safe wipe herbs I have on hand to handle the TP shortage. They're edible, too. Nature will provide, both coming and going.

Just don’t eat the herbs after you wipe with them ewww lol

LMAO....OMG Mark!!

I personally don't use TP...I use baby wipes. Its my irrational brain warp (fear) I have an irrational stupid belief buried in my brain that all toilet paper is made of recycled material....and I can't get past it. Post ECT somehow that thought got planted in my head and I've not been able to deal with toilet paper since, its so stupid and I know better, but yeah my brain is stuck...LOL After going to the Market on the way home...and damn it not one single square inch of toilet paper....which is blowing my mind...I just don't get it, I informed my son that his rent no longer covers toilet paper, he's on his own. I'm not running around town trying to find toilet paper for that boy!!! LOL

Somebody explain the damn Toilet Paper thing for me!!! Plenty of Paper Towels, Kleenex, Water, Clorox cleaning wipes...not one inch of Toilet paper...What The Hell??? Really when the world actually does end at some point and the Zombies come are we going to be worried about Toilet Paper...my mind is really blown by this!
