my bedroom tv died the other day........sam is coming over to set up a new tv.  yay!  tonight actually.......trading his strength and know how for one of mom's dinners.

tonights menu is:

fresh mixed greens (w/hard boiled eggs, slivered carrots, roma tomatos, croutons and ceaser salad dressing)

nice thick center cut pork chops.....one for sam, one for his mom......!

freshly whipped mashed potatoes

yellow sweet corn

fresh baked garlic bread (the store made it, all i have to do is bake it......!) with delicious whipped butter!

for dessert?

angel food cake with a light delicious whipped frosting.  nummmmmy num num.

heavy rains here......the ground is super saturated.  praying for folks in texas.......trying to plan involvement in a couple of volunteer events.  one offers the opportunity to volunteer for a big event for Compassion International........actually two events in different area suburbs.  one is to raise awareness & compassion for child poverty, the other for abused children.  my neighbor might want to take part in one with me.......pray for health to do things like this.

i am tired........all that cooking.......but it will taste so good.  excited to eat at my new table for the second time.......have it all set.  placemats, the square blue plates.......pretty napkins and silverware.  color me festive.......eating with someone is an event in my little cottage........sweet happy sparrow cottage.  i don't know when it will go on the market.......backing off the plan to try to pull it off really soon, felt too much on my own doing it........i will need dedicated help and that means the kids will have to offer more help.....praying about that.  we'll see........for now i'm working on getting this place ship shape.......getting the porch painted, fixing the white picket fence.........you know, stuff.  trying to be patient cause bruce can do all this stuff but he's very busy right now......
