hi!

it's almost Christmas.......my goodness.

i have a pot of homemade soup on the stove just bubbling away.  full of good bits......baby carrots, red potatoes, corn, green beans, celery, onion, low sodium vegetable juice and chicken broth.......and it's all being flavored with diced ham steaks.  that should be good....all i need now is a pan of corn bread to call it a good winter meal!

i should make some jello while i'm in here........

i'm doing my chores reluctantly.....but i'm doing them.  today it's more laziness than anything.  i hurt my right shoulder/upper arm muscles pulling down a metal basket off a high shelf filled with pyrex cassersole dishes.  did that over a week ago.....didn't use to be such a problem, it's only a few seconds from lift off to the top of the dryer.  but this time it was a bad idea.  still having a hard time lifting my right arm up by myself consistently.  i practice daily......lifting, stretching, maybe in time?

i also made up a container of angel hair pasta with spaghetti sauce, ground beef and sweet onions.  tossed crazy stuff out of the frig.....go me!  i'm going to swiffer the furniture in the bedroom and vacuum.......or die trying.  wish me luck!

no way to get to the store......no clue of holiday plans, rides or anything.  God is testing me again on the patience don't worry so much little girl thing......i just want to know if/when i'll get to see the kids.......have clothes ready, that sort of thing.  but God wants me to stop worrying about the details and lean into him.  at least i hope that's the deal......no one has ever so much as offered to take me christmas shopping or to the store for food or anything.  i am a pioneer in many ways.

yes, bruce got me bread and eggs earlier in the week.  i should have had him get more things, but a body needs cash to make that happen....it would be nice to go to the bank and get cash also.  the little things......be patient little girl...

trust in God and chill out.  i'm watching a squirrel go to town chomping on something yummy.....he's been in that one spot for some time, i can see two blue jays giving chase through one of my trees out back.....another squirrel at the back of the property hunting.

it's a quiet day......i slept all of last night and far into early afternoon.  it's 4 pm, time to feed the cat kids!  the soup is done as well! yay.  later gator, hugs xoxoox

Your soup sounds good. I am going to make a pot up. I already have the cornbread made. I wish I could share with you.
Good for you on doing some chores. Chasing those dust bunnies around. Keep at it and resting in between.. Merry Christmas Ruthie <3
