morning pal,
summer time......got my flip flops, capris and t shirt on. debbie will be here to 86 my home of dirt any minute now.
i'm planning a party for my son in law and the wonderful young maria for this sunday. the plan is to meet at my place to grill good things on my one and only tiny baby grill......have treats, enjoy conversation and presents, then head to a local outdoor pool at a nearby park.
the park pool looks like a lot of fun......and the cost is very reasonable. got little clothes for the little girl about to turn three........sam is gonna get movie tickets for his brother in law.......still need to find a nice shirt for derian. it's all gonna work out just right......somehow, someway. the kids are splitting costs with me on the gifts.......and the upcoming wedding gift. i'll do the shopping and they'll hand over some money, so i can live on to buy fruit and veggies another day! ........good, it's a plan.
didn't sleep so well last night.......woke up, had breakfast and crashed for two more hours.....feel seasick. have so many things i wanna do today, but we'll have to see.......
don't know if i mentioned it but derian and sara are on a no carb diet currently so that means they basically eat meat, meat and more meat......she said they could go for a low carb ice cream treat, so it's on the list. plan to make cupcakes for little miss about to turn three girl.........got her a tiara and a magic wand. the MOST important things for a young princess.......still can't get over the little clothes i found for her........the dress is navy blue cotton w/cap sleeves & little tiny mickey mouse emblems stamped everywhere, short sleeves, a scoop neck, hits below the little toddler girl knees........it's beyond adorable! it's modern and i want one, do they make adult size toddler clothes? no i don't mean diapers............smartie!!!!!!
trying to find my feet and quell the queasies......maybe sitting outside for a while will help. it looks to be a beautiful day.......oh, one of my neighbor's daughters stopped by for a short chat last night.......she said my yard is looking so beautiful........i told her i stopped worrying about perfection and what it would REALLY cost to do it up right and invested some money in cheap dirt and flower bulbs.........she said she thought it is very cool........what a nice thing to say.
i don't hear a lot of complements in real life........it IS nice to hear that something is pretty or good or coming along, gives me a little gold star of hope that kind of feels like a warm glow.
it's the little things that matter the most........have a good day ....soft hug, ruthie

Ruthie, first of all, I want to say how much I miss you!!!! DS is so touchy, and I\'m not doing so great myself. LOL. When I have the oomph to use my computer, DS is not working, and when DS is working, I\'m out of commission. I missed out on reading several of your recent journals, and I am too weary to catch up. Hoping I didn\'t miss anything essential. I think your combined birthday party is a great idea - you would make a great party planner because you are always full of fun ideas. So, the Princess Maria will be 3! What a lovely thing to be 3 and to be adored by everyone around you. I do pray that she will take it all in and that it will sustain her as she grows.
