here at St. Nina's :)
It’s wild, this is a very hard job here, doing the services. As the priest today said
it’s everything everywhere all at once. Even veterans forget things and make mistakes.
I’ve accepted it as a job and that is motivating and strengthening. In my mind it’s a balance
between the two aspects of what it’s about, which is the work and the experience.
The work comes foremost but is a beautiful thing, and also there’s the spiritual aspect.
I think that’s why so many during the process of serving mass lose their place at times.
Slowly but surely I am learning the ropes! So, I am balancing two jobs:)
I am not actually in a priest role - I am in a supporting - deacon - role (in training)
so I prepare charcoals and incense for the censors - I make sure the priests have what they need
and the current deacon gives me the cues - for when and where - frankly I go off into the dream world a lot - and I mess up.
but giving myself the idea that it's a job - is helping me focus a bit more - but all of us up there
behind the iconostasis seem to misstep a lot..

What an experience! Are you thinking of staying long term?
I’m giving it 6 months to a year and then will decide. Right now I’m at the market (job). I’m going to live with both and then go from there.
((((Marcos))))
That’s cool :)
