Believe it or not, that 50% survival rate is still far better than what a scrub oak seedling has in the wild.

How crazy am I to sneak into such projects after hours to sing to and commune with the seedlings? I also do allot of pimping in hopes of upping the survival odds for the wild seedlings. For me, dirt is a basic food group. Gots to have my minimum daily requirement.

Have you flirted with the Catholic Church enough to have heard of the Franciscan Order? Methinks you are their kind of people. If I were to choose An Order, I believe the Franciscans would be my first choice, if they'd have me.

That little tree looks healthy right now. I think this is a good group to volunteer with. We always need to plant trees.

you are so right becky! Los Angeles has a major initiative that is funding the tree plantings..
it's really important stuff. I enjoy it - today especially - it was like a party - so many people there -
and all getting the job done. In fact, I go now and see if there's another event coming up soon..
to sign up for.
