Lord, Help me to get through this day. Help me to get through the next several painful and terrifying months. Let my kids be okay, and please, let me be okay, too.
Believe it or not, you are going to be OK... Life does not end just because a relationship does. You are not defined by your marriage to him. You are a strong, wonderful woman, who will make it out of this AOK. Your kids are going to be fine too - perhaps even better!
This coming May will be 3 years divorced for me. I was married for 27 years, together for 30 and have two beautiful children. They are changed, but all in all, better than before. You\'ll get there too. I promise. You just have to get through the muck first. (((Hugs))) - Keep praying. You\'ve got this sister.
It\'s true - you will be in a state of disbelief for a few months but then you must get stronger and fight for yourself. Don\'t allow yourself to waste your life because 1 person out of over 6 billion left you and didn\'t want you anymore. You are worth so much more than that! I know the above because I lived this all just 16 months ago and I never thought I\'d live through it. I wanted to die and feared being and living alone since I never had for my entire life. I was married for 33 years and knew nothing else. But I can honestly say I am doing just great now - I worked hard and tried hard to make myself have a good life and I am happy again. Maybe even happier than I was before. I do miss the past life but now that I know he didn\'t love me for ???? I don\'t know how long I have made up my mind to bounce back and move on and I have. You will too - it just takes time and no matter what I or anyone else says to you - you probably can\'t believe it. But it is true - I never thought I\'d say that- I was so in love with my husband- but if you do the work and read support books and go to groups and meet other divorced women, etc. you WILL be just fine. This Christmas will be awful but it will not be next year! I promise IF you make up your mind to enjoy your life and not let anyone ruin it for you. You can ask the others on this forum how bad I was last year - you can read my journals if you want to and see how a strong will can change you. Good luck and keep thinking how you will get better and be happy again! Things will become more clear but please go get support from others in a group. It is worth your time!
Honey, what everyone had said is so true, Please be gentle with yourself. When you see him just smile. A nice slow smile, and walk away with your head up. You will shine and smile. It will take hard work and time. but you can do it.
Hugs
Yes it is hard. My ex left in Feb and I honestly didn\'t think I\'d make it and some days I didn\'t want to. I along with many here, are here to tell you that you will make it, it\'s hard, it\'s lonely, it\'s scary but you will get there. We will offer you our support, our experience and a listening ear whenever you need it. Please be gentle with yourself and take this new journey one day at a time. Don\'t rush things, don\'t panic, don\'t worry about the future, I have found that life does continue and miraculously works itself out!!! good luck and be well!

You can do it. Just take a deep breath, and one baby step at a time.
