Help! I Can't Stop Eating

Darn Halloween.  We had bad weather in the midwest.  Now I've got a ton of candy and I've been nibbling all day.  Got to get it out of here or I'll gain all the weight back.

In related matters:  Went online tonight, thinking about, of all things, Baby Dumpling.  That's the baby from that old Dagowood series of the thirties and forties.  Some reason the song kept playing in my head.  Read that the cute little guy passed away a few years back.  Still, hearing the song in my head, I realized it was the sandwich I was thinking about.  You know, the Dagwood sandwich.  The one Dagwood made was huge and fattening and no one in their right mind would eat it.  It was a running joke in the series.  Anyhow, while I was in the restaurant I saw a guy ordering one that looked just like it only it was called the regular size.   There's a sandwich even bigger.  Guess the guy was watching his weight 'cause they were offering a deal on the larger sandwich and he didn't want it.  And neither did I.  I was good, ordering a mini sub.  This mini sub used to be called large back in the 80s.
Guess it's relative.
Speaking of which--I'm feeling kinda old.  Was watching an old Gilligan's Island episode and noticed how young Mrs Howell was.  She's the old lady in the show.  When I was a kid I thought Ginger and Mary Anne were old ladies too.  Now, Mrs Howell looks like someone I'd hang out with.
Relative, indeed!
Back to my diet and a five mile walk.

Its all relative. Age is all relative to how old we actually are in real life.
Too bad you have all that candy left over. I live in an apartment who doesn\'t have trick or treaters. I get to relax and watch the horror shows on TV. Halloween was relaxing for me, which I greatly appreciated. Keep the weight off despite all the temptations that are out in the real world.

Go buy some freezer bags and a turkey. Debone and eat. Freeze the leftovers! Drop off the candy at the food bank as a donation when you pick up the turkey! If it\'s cold you can make some great turkey soup with the carcass too. Freeze individual portions of the soup too. Fall cooking is great! The food is healthy and stores well too. I will probably roast 6 or 7 while they are cheap and have turkey all winter into spring. I made 3 gallons of chili the other day. It\'s finally cool enough here to cook!

I used to enjoy Dagwood. Sad when the old actors leave us. This time of year its easy to get alittle blue so try to keep busy. I try to find some positive statements to say. Helps
