hello me, hello you......

middle of the afternoon, gotta a case of sleepy peepers. 

i couldn't find my birth certificate so i decided to order a copy, the online company my home state uses wanted $53 to get it from there to here.  WHAAAAT?  They should make some money, but not rob a poor old lady.  So I called the dept of health for Iowa and by ordering it direct from them it costs $29.  Big difference.  Still think it's a lot to charge what they charge......$13 to slip the printed certificate in an envelope and slide it through their postage meter?  The charge for the certificate is $20.  Personally I think it should be under $25 all inclusive unless you need it via expedited mail, like via UPS. 

They don't ask me about anything, the behind the curtains team of "they"!  ha ha heh heh.  hey, how about some GREAT news??? I found out today that Johnson & Johnson approved my request for assistance to get Xarelto.  For the remainder of this year it will be 100% free.  let's all do the happy dance of JOY>.......shake, twirl or just tap your finger to celebrate.  i'm wonky with pollen, so i'll be in the tap my finger group!  such gooooooood news!

i have sticky notes all over my desk, 14 to be exact......it looks ridiculous.  but they do help, so there you are.

um, tomorrow is the memorial service for my neighbor Grace.  i didn't know her very well, she was a tiny little silver haired woman, very feisty.  she had a long skinny singular braid trailing down her back......but wore the rest short in a pat benatar rock n roll pixie cut......her yard was seriously decorated for EVERY holiday that came down the pike.  she and her mate were all in on the decorating i kid you not.....decorating the lawn, garden beds, front door, porch and the trees as well.......they loved to celebrate it all in a big way!  i don't know what happened that led to her death.......i had heard from someone a few months ago that she was sick, i asked her in December if she was doing better and she seemed very surprised.  she said she hadn't been sick at all......and now she is gone.  life is short.....and surprising.

i've said prayers for her, for her mate, for her family.....i hope they can find peace in the days to come.  they were a very close couple and this will not be easy for him.  they were always helping with the OWLS, with the Lion's Club, with our community festivals....she will be missed.  sigh........if i can pull it together i really want to go to the memorial service.  i need to go, we all need to be there for others and for their loved ones....to pay our respects.

still sleepy.  i watched episodes of ABC's show The Fix and it's following that old soap opera thing....why would they take good actors and then turn it into bad soap>  ugh.  they are spending a ton of money on locations, cars, big houses.....and then ruining what could be a really good drama, solid and realistic, but nooooo, they are wrecking it.  you can laugh, but i went to the abc website and said do better........fix this before it's too late.  not that anyone will listen to me or anything, but it did make me feel a little better.  silly me......

ohhh, here's something else to share.  my former sister in law naomi is doing stand in work for a movie being shot in Atlanta, she's Kathleen Turner's stand in of all things.  how randomly delightful, this is an example of the sort of high jinks a healthy retired person can get into!  wish i could do it too.......they shoot a lot of stuff here now.  the other day she had to wear specific high heels and stand in a mansion by the fireplace for hours while they got the lighting and other details just right.  she sees the stars in the film and gets to watch the process of making a film going on all around her.  naomi is having an absolute ball right now doing this!
