hello......hugs!

it's foggy out there.......the mist settles around my home like a giant blanket.  i woke up in the dark with an angry headache.  put a wash cloth on my head and fell back asleep.  it's almost high noon now. i took a hot shower and that helped the headache a little......it's damp outside.  quiet.

hello........feel blessed overall.  i went to see the doc for my regular every 3 month check up and received my meds for the next 90 days, so that is covered!  i was able to find vitamin d and magnesium to cover the bases........i got some flonase to help ease my sinus symptoms......and i have 4 gallons of water to refill my cpap machine. 

i have enough toilet paper to take care of me for awhile and i have boxes of kleenex as well.....yay!  hopefully our time indoor practicing "social distancing" will help us remain safe and doing well! 

i have the usual challenges with my illnesses......fatigue, pain, swollen glands, overall body aches and so forth.......i have a good day here and there.......i try to use it wisely!  see friends or do projects. 

last week i went to my neighbor's home for lunch and cards.....it was just three of us playing but we had a nice time laughing and telling stories!  i almost have my vision situation handled.......i got glasses that didn't work out well, took them back, got a second opinion on what i needed.......so I should have new lenses in the glasses I chose in another week or so.  I got two pairs of frames, one is classic silver frames.........no bells and whistles really, just a tiny touch of style overall.  the other pair is a light pale pink metal.....i wanted frames that would blend in.  the single lens frames will allow me to read well again, correct the astigmatism and i can't wait ......also plan to learn to crochet once i can see well again close up!

i painted two farmhouse chairs i found for $25 a piece.  i overpainted them sigh......had to do some sanding and some waiting but in the end i think they look really nice.......i added two chair pads.  they are gray & white plaid on one side and gray and white stripes on the other side.......they look fresh and feel nice and comfy!  i got a birthday present in February for my kitchen.......i know silly maybe, to get a Happy Birthday to Me Table, but that's what I did......it's a round pedestal table, has a starburst pattern on top, a white base.......the top has a pale gray stain......i sealed the top once i had it home.  it's a nice size and height for games and meals.  my other table.......that i need to sell is too tall. it's a cool table......an antique english pub table that is too tall for most chairs and shorter people to comfortably sit at.  .......details are probably boring as all get out shared here.  but this is my life.......quiet with a side of puttering at home. 

looking out at my back patio, time to make a plan to freshen things for spring.  need to clean all the cushions with hot water, soap and some bleach.  right now we have endless days of rain, so i should wait for a string of sunny spring days.  then i want to paint a red table white......a white chair whiter......this and that.  get some azaleas for the bigger pots......and not sure what to get for the smaller pots.....remove everything to put the outdoor pad that covers the patio concrete in a pretty blue and white pattern.  spring is coming.

irises, day lilies and roses are springing to life. the little trees are covered in buds......my head is killing me, definitive proof of pollen and allergy season!  lol......hope you are hanging in there.......that you are safe and well.  if you were here we'd bake some pastries. i have puff pastry, strawaberry and apricot preserves for filling and then we could sprinkle them with powdered sugar.  they are best served right out of the oven with a lovely cup of tea........here's to all of us in the days ahead!
