Hello Beautiful People of DS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Time to settle down. It's late, raining softly..........and I'm tired/wired. And strangely hungry. What a goof.
I didn't eat until dinnertime.......woke up late, wasn't hungry and got busy doing little things. Then Sam called to catch up. He was on his way to the state park just north of me......I'm surrounded by woods.......definitely. It was in the low 60's and very pretty outside, so he wanted to get some biking in. He talked about some movies he wants to see soon.........so after we got off the phone I started to think. My thinker is a little slow, but eventually it kicks in............so I thinked maybe we could go see one of the movies and then grab dinner. I thinked that via his voice mail. He called me back and thought that was a grand plan.
BUTTTTTTT, he had his bike and nobody wants to see it become stolen.......so I proposed that he park his car/bike in my garage and we use my geezermobile as the get away car. I think he kind of enjoys being able to park his Mama front & center using my parking pass. He is sweet, he always opens the door for me.......makes sure that I'm settled in and buckled up......(I'm the mama/kid) I really appreciate his thoughtfulness.
We saw "Flight." I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but let me say this........the beginning of the movie is edge of your seat hair raising and I made him promise to take me see a nice silly fun Disney movie next time. Something to save my heart for years to come. When I go to a movie I am ALL IN.......I relinquish my hold on normal reality and I go along with the movie and take the ride to the fullest......my kids think this is FUNNY and maybe a little endearing..........Sam was holding my arm while I covered my eyes. I am a dork. Admittedly so..............after the movie, we went to dinner at Chili's and enjoyed the 2 for $20 meal deal that even includes a nice little appetiser. Our server was very sweet........we sat and talked about books/authors for a good while. Highly enjoyable, the cats do not discuss much with me......sigh, they love on me for sure, but they do not appreciate a grown up conversation much. It's good to talk the talk of grown folks.
Enjoyed it very much, then we came back here.........and we talked for a long while about that dangerous subject called politics.........we talked about all kinds of things........fair tax, health care, China........Wall Street..........Wal-Mart, real estate, consequences for higher ups that sought and received bail outs..........we talked and talked and then I stopped talking and just listened. I only seem to have a limited amount of oxygen for talking before I start to yawn non-stop. I've been a serial yawner ever since I got sick. It can last anywhere from one -three hours a day. If I don't talk it's not bad, but if I start talking it sets off the yawn-athon something fierce. It was definitely getting late so I
Hugged him bye and then saw the bag on the table.......
Caught him in the driveway and said OH NO YOU DON"T>>>>>You promised to take this big bag of leftover Halloween candy to your office...............that stuff could not live here another minute. that is just too much danger for this will robinson chocolate lover to have around at one time. still can't believe that i only had one trick or treater.......................so weird. sam thinks that my not getting home until seven means i missed all the really young tricky treaters........probably so. our neighborhood is growing up.........lots of old kids that have already left the nest................so ........sending hugs, so glad to hear from more and more of our friends that survived Sandy and find out how they are doing. more praying to do, but so many prayers answered, hearing that friends/loved ones are safe is such a huge blessing........nitie nite all!

We had only five little ones on Halloween so I have that candy issue also! Glad Sam was able to take that off of your hands. LOL.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! Hugs, Connie
Hi Darla! Glad you got to have a great time with Sam. He sounds so caring & loving of him Mom. We had no trick or treaters either. Here sits a huge bag of candy! Got to get ready of it soon!!! I have a doctor appt tomorrow... Maybe I will bring the candy to the office girls. ;). My hubby was sick all last week with a nasty cold. He\'s feeling better now. He wasn\'t sleeping much either, like me. Finally last night I got about 6-7 hrs waking up twice.
My family & friends are safe after SANDY swept through. Thank the good Lord. Many prayers go out to the many many people affected by that nasty storm.
Will write again soon. Just waking up & my tummy is making noises. ;) love ya sweet Ruth. Xoxo
Ok now you know I\'m just getting up!!! Sorry Ruth...I texted Darla instead of Ruth. Lol. I must be thinking of you both. Xo
No ghost or goblins here either so I consumed the candy myself.
Now I like to go to the movies for laughter & enjoyment so I don\'t go often as so many today are thriller or sci-fi. Life these days is scary enough without the cinema adding to it.
The time spent with Sam & the meal sound wonderful though.
