hello........!

So happy/lucky/blessed to have such wonderful friends.......I missed the party at the Owls and I missed Bible Study......but I managed to post a happy valentine wish filled with absolute unadulterated cuteness.........it felt like the right thing to do!

I was going to try out a new recipe for the Owls Valentines Day party......strawberry cupcakes infused with a creamy center and fluffy frosting....topped with tiny little old timey candy hearts......the ones that have sayings on them......do you remember them?  they say stuff like be mine.......and i got red lacey hearts to put on the cake stand to make it purty!  but sigh, it was not meant to be this time.  sigh, it's ok, good stuff is coming kiddo!

I already tried to right a journal before this one.....the formatting went completely crazy......there was three inches in between each paragraph, some phrases were missing the tops of their letters........it was nutso kookio!  what was that all about?

too seasick to stay long......but I wanted to share a happy plan.  the kids are taking me to dinner on sunday evening.....then after we'll go to Sara & Derian's to play games.  i'll drive south to sam's house --- then he'll take the wheel and drive us in the rest of the way.

we're celebrating how young i continue to get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! said the white haired cane using old broad, now turning a stunning 61 years YOUNG!  or old........depends on when you ask me!

they are taking me to a Korean Steakhouse, they cook dinner for you at the tabletop..........my first time at a Korean Restaurant....it's good to try new things...unless they are creepy crawly things ......I promised sam I would try dishes from animules that formerly clucked or moooooed.  beyond that i promise nothing!

i am so seasick right now, i'm fighting off the urge to throw up, really really fighting it, sipping cool water seems to help a little.  the weather goes from chilly to warm and back again.......which does stuff to those sinuses that is not good.  how can i get this nausea stuff in control?

i was talking to a nice lady at walmart.......she wanted to teach me about pain relief for arthritis so she took me over to the lidocaine infused products.......and i brought a tube of it home.  going to put it on my left foot in a few minutes.......see if it relieves or at least numbs some of that pain.  wish i knew what was in that part of the foot.......is this arthritis?  or a vein problem?  they thought it was nerve damage and hoped that the lower spine injection would help relieve it, but nuh uh.  doesn't mean it's not what they thought, it's just one of those gut feelings that they are wrong.

guess i'm now a doctor......diagnosing my bad self!  little smile going on here.......i had to stop typing for a bit to get good and sick.  i tried so hard to avoid it, but it couldn't be helped.  i hope once was enough.......we'll know in about 15 - 20 minutes.  could this also have anything to do with all the walking i did today?  or is it solely sinus induced?  what does dr. google say?

i got this tiny little antique table for under 5 dollars......and a bottle of contact cement.  i can't open this glue cause the smell will knock you into stinky palace.......it has a STRONG ODOR!  i got this instead of wood glue cause it says i won't need any clamps to get the job done.  i only own one clamp and it's so strong that I can't open it........or maybe i'm so weak???!!!! which reminds me that i need to get PT for my arms and legs.

and i keep forgetting to do that.  also need to schedule an appt with doc richard for march.  a regular exam and to renew scripts.

once i glue the joints on this little table i'll give it an old english rubdown........bring it to life!  i can put my inbox of current mail on it and when i'm not using it this little table will slide under this table out of the way!  i also found a decorative box so that Rio won't get killed before his time!

the green book case is on little green legs.....behind it sits all the wires and cables necessary for computer happiness.  Rio thinks these wires and cables are teething toys for kitties.  most of them are wrapped in electrical tape now cause of Rio's ongoing addiction.......i started using the black electrical tape after Rio killed a pair of speakers........that DARN CAT!

i measured the open space below the bookcase and then went hunting......i found this decorated box, it features pretty purplish red tulips and says "Life is Beautiful"......it also has sparkly gold butterflies on it.  i can keep note cards and such in this pretty little box, keep RIO alive and protect the computer........little things/little solutions are a happy maker!

i got to have some nice chats with folks while i was out.......one lady is putting her home on the market......she is moving closer to the lake.  she was getting pretty containers to make her closets and laundry room look put together. and she added since the stuff will already be in boxes it will make it easier to move once her home sells.  and we talked about how we all accumulate stuff......which reminded me of the George Carlin comedy bit about STUFF.  I don't know if it's on youtube or not, but if it is, it's very funny and worth a listen .....

the Lidocaine Lady and i started chatting in the shampoo aisle. she said no matter what she does her hair looks terrible.  i couldn't see any evidence that she had "terrible hair!"  why are we so tough on ourselves????  i do it too........we confessed how many products we had tried to achieve perfect hair!!!!!!!!  lately i've gone back to apple scented suave and lemon scented shampoo for curly/wavy hair.  the lemon shampoo costs a lot more than suave.......sigh!  i love the smell......fresh lemons.........and wonder why there aren't more lemon scented shampoos.  do people associate lemon scented items with the kitchen?  maybe so........

she was in her 70's and had very pretty strawberry blonde hair all one length just below her ears...i complimented her hair style and she told me to HUSH!  ...she shared that her husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor a few months back.......they sold their home and moved in with one of her children.  the son they moved in with has young children and everyone thought it would be a win win life change.  she loves being there and yet she's completely exhausted.  she's a doer and a goer.........finds it hard to be still and quiet.  i recognise that quality in myself and so many of us here.........when we can we do.......when we can we often go full steam ahead and try to pack as much life into that time as we can........and then we clunk over and crash.  hard.

we talking about "pacing" which is never easy to figure out.......she kept mentioning how young i am......it's all relative huh!

she has a variety of ailments but it hurt to see how RA has taken over so many of her joints.  her poor hands.......I pray that the Lord places his warm hands over her hard working hands and gives her moments of relief.  she confided that she lives on lidocaine patches to get through each day......and that she takes 13 prescriptions ......she needed to talk and i was happy to listen!

she mentioned that she used to teach sunday school at a nearby methodist church and that gave me pause.........she needed to get home........and then as i rode off on my little cart i remembered......this lady and i have chatted before.......no clue when or where, but i remember her sharing info about this church. it's located next to the back entrance of Mulberry Park by my home.......the one sam likes to ride his bike at........they have walking paths, riding paths for bikes and horses........i feel blessed to live in such a pretty area.......it's forest meets the farm out here.

i need to go to bed......i was trying to wait up for the dryer, but i don't care anymore.  i think i'll turn the dryer off and go to bed.  .......i got a lot done today.......so while i may have overdone it......it have that feeling overall of a good day/much accomplished.......but sigh, i forgot to get Grandma's belated birthday card.......she turned 89 on the 13th........and my friend Ruth celebrated her birthday on the 13th.......i didn't get a card out to her either.  i need a personal assistand.........wouldn't that be the bomb??!!!!  if i did he or she would definitely earn their moolah!  i should buy a lotto ticket at least once a month......win and celebrate my old lady bones offfffff!!!!!!!!  love you lots.  my tummy is calm now.......this happened the last time i went out and the time before that. another puzzle that needs solving so it can stop happening..........night!  why am i postponing going to bed?  cause when i try to stand and walk it's gonna hurt like almighty hell and then some.......maybe i'll just fill a hottub with lidocaine lotion and call it a life necessity?!  night night for reals!

Ruthie,

I knew your birthday occurs this month so have a very happy 61st.

Also I do think you will enjoy the steakhouse - those chefs are fantastic & enjoyable to watch.

Hate to hear that you still have so many health issues. I can relate as mine are numerous too.

Happy birthday, Sparrow!!! (BTW, DS says that you are 90......... and I am 13! I don't know which is worse!). I've been to a restaurant that grills at the table ...... Japanese, maybe? Anyway, if this restaurant does scallops, try them! They are delicious!

Oops! I didn't mean to hit send!
Ah, you are your own doctor now? Might as well be ..... the other doctors don't do us much good, do they?
Pacing? What a joke. Tried to. No can do. Personal assistant? Uh uh. We need servants to carry us around on cushioned litters. Your kitties can ride, too! Get it - litter? Hugs!
