Heavy Heart

Good morning every one,  I am very concerned for many of my DS friends.  You will never know how much I think of the ones who are suffering.  The ones who are slowing losing their loves ones and the ones who already have. I pray each night for all of you and fear the day when it will be my turn.
Steve is doing so well now. It is hard to believe he is sick sometimes.  All I have to do is read the  CT scan reports and know that the cancer is really there.  In his lungs and in his remaining kidney.  It is like a time bomb inside him and you just don't know when it will go off.   He is such a witness to people, and  I hope an inspiration to some on this site.  He goes about his life with such gusto and you would not know he is sick unless you knew.
He is so emotional at times.  The little child who is so sick with colon cancer just breaks his heart.  He has told me that he would take her place if he could.( by the way she has been running temps of 105 almost 106.   I pray for mercy for her and her parents.  Her dad told me he just wishes she could go to sleep.)
I just wanted everyone to know that you are in my heart and in my mind.  I hope that today is just a day of peace, without pain.  God bless us all,  Wanda

Dearest Wanda,
You are such an amazing support to so many people. You and Steve are an inspiration to so many here, including me. I wish your little friend could just go to sleep, too. It just breaks my heart that children and young people with their lives ahead of them are struck down by cancer. God bless you, my beautiful friend Love and hugs xxx

Wanda, so appreciate your thoughts and prayers. You too, are in my thoughts and prayers, and I\'m so thankful that Steve is doing so well right now. We can support each other, be there for each other because we are all in the same boat. Glad to hear Steve\'s attitude is so good, such a blessing to you and others. In spite of all the challenges, I know that God continues to bless each one of us throughout this journey. Our job is to see those blessings, and you have such a gift in doing so! Thank you! Lots of love, Karen

Wanda..you are a strong woman to read and listen to all of us that have already lost our spouses...it must really be difficult for you when your husband is fighting and being so strong...Buddy was like your Steve...strong and never complaining..we were not exposed to any children where Buddy was being treated. He was on the transplant floor every time he was in the hospital...I don\'t know if I could handle seeing a child so ill...it makes me wonder where God is during those moments...Thank you for caring and being here...Hugs Ellen

Dear dear Wanda,
I know I messaged you separately, but I just want to tell you how often I think of Steve - seen him in your photo - and of how healthy he is, and his big smile, and I just think of that as an attainable state for D, when we hit upon the right treatment. To live so well and love so well with this disease hanging over him is truly wonderful.
My love to you both, as ever
Meriel
