Haven\'t written in a while!

Hi everyone,I can't believe it's been about two weeks since I entered in my journal... too long!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving - - -here we are rolling into the holiday season.  I know it's rough for a lot of people out there; so today I'm going to be EXTRA thankful for everything I/we have, especially the new friends I have met on this site. :] The Arizona trip was good, except for one argument with my husband - - -got over it pretty quickly and the rest of the week was great!  My mission in life is to be a super organized person with time and everything in my life, but truly it is a daily challenge for me.  I'm more casual about time and it gets me into TROUBLE constantly.  Sometimes I feel like I'm always rushing around and I just hate it.  It seems like I sabotage myself, waiting too long to do things and then I'm behind the eight ball; it drives my husband crazy and I want to be different but as I say, I'm always fighting it.  Does anyone else feel that same way??? Also, starting things is hard for me; once I get going I'm great and I get everything done, going from one thing to another... it's just STARTING.  (I do have to qualify that, though - many times I hop from one thing to another like a bumblebee..) I know to some this may seem trivial, but I'm on a role now - venting about this because honestly it affects everything I/we do. Enough said - if anyone else has these kinds of issues, let me know; maybe we can compare notes and fix the problem. :] Have a great GF day and weekend!Hugs to all,Smokeygirl

I know exactly what you mean by STARTING things...sometimes I set a timer for 15 mins and tell myself that I will do whatever it is I\'m procrastinating just for those 15 mins....and I always wind up getting in the spirit of things and continuing on.....LOL

Glad you enjoyed your trip (even with the little argument with hubby)....have a great day tomorrow....

I could have written this journal entry-LOL. At the risk of repeating the oft used phrase...I put the PRO in procrastinate. I have a hard time starting anything..then when I do...I hop from task to task ...sometimes not finishing any of them, or doing less than I wanted. Sometimes I don\'t even get started; nothing gets done. And this applies to important stuff as well as the not so important. The stress is crazy. I have every book ever written on organization, motivation, curing procrastination problems, how-to\'s on anything to do with the subject. I\'m a compulsive list maker too....but getting any of it done is a whole different matter (I just like the nice note paper I write on I think). Thanks for this entry...I\'m not alone...

Brigette,
Thank you for commenting on my journal entry; I truly feel like a crazy person sometimes; maybe like what I think Adult ADD would be.. :] Seriously - it is good to know we are not alone; I just want to resolve it. I\'m going to do the 15 minute timeclock set starting in three minutes; I\'ll write (on my pretty paper) what I will accomplish and then scratch the tasks off. Wish me luck. The battle goes on.. :]
Hope you have a wonderul week,
Hugs,

I am the same way... sometimes I can spend a whole day starting a million things and never finishing any of them. Truly, I work best under pressure... no use starting things before they have to be done. LOL.
