Hard Week
I am unusually stiff and sore this week. I just finished giving myself a deep muscle massage with a topical analgesic mixture of camphor, menthol and methyl salicylate. I can now stand with very little muscle pain but sitting down, the last 6 inches above a tall chair, 21 inches (41cm), the pain is intense. I don't know if this is a new manifestation of Parkinsonism or a side effect of a recent flue shot. This pain plus the need to get up three or more times a night because of my irinary incontenance is stressing me out. I am using the "LSVT Big" technique to stand, but sitting requires strong muscle tension in my quads. This is accompanied by pain and ratcheting. Of course I can just collapse the last few inches but that stresses the chairs.
