The kids are coming tomorrow, have a very special menu planned......

Mixed nuts to nosh on......followed by a serving of big happy salad (fresh greens with assorted toppings & your favorite dressing)

Turkey Breast with Cajun Seasonings

Quiche

Sweet Potato Souffle (yes, there will be Georgia pecan crumble on top......YUMMMMM)

Mashed Potatoes

Baked Beans with Bacon

Onion & Herb Dressing

Oodles of Turkey Gravy

Hawaiian Rolls

Sweet Corn

Zucchini Alfredo (this is pasta free, nicknamed "Zoodles"......cross your fingers that this turns out Perfecto!!!

Fresh Green Beans in Butter Sauce with Slivered Onions

......if you have any room left over, there are pumpkin spiced cake donuts and chocolate frosted donuts with cream filling.......or you can take them to go.

For my neighbors and nearby friends......have some goodies for the kids to deliver after our big meal.....a combo of banana bread, chocolate chip walnut cookies and some rice crispy treats.  all packaged up with pretty ribbon ready for delivery.

The shots in my hip have given me an enormous amount of mobility and driven the pain levels way back......I am taking in this amazing unexpected shot at life......for a few days with joy and thanksgiving.

There is a small table in the living room all set with fine china......pretty blue & green glass goblets.  Silver is wrapped up in pretty napkins......candles stand ready to be lit ......asked son in law to pray over our meal and asked all kids to bring along things they are thankful for and pictures of any trips for sharing.......very very excited.

The mammogram results were wonderful, got the ALL CLEAR SIGN!  Scheduled the epidural injection for early January......the upper cervical MRI for sometime soon.......I forget when......humming along.

It's so rare to feel like this.......it's not perfect, but it's pretty amazing.  I would like to be able to take some steroids on a regular basis.........I know there are risks, but oh me oh my......couldn't there be a way to limit the dosage and upgrade my level of mobility by like 1000%??? A girl has to ask when the results are so off the charts great. 

Praying for you.......grateful the kids are coming for a few hours tomorrow.  I wish they could spend the whole day, but divorced families rarely get a whole day of kid time.  sorry, that was a self pity moment, i'm sorry......a lot to be thankful for.......so let's give THANKS.......try to practice the art of "THANKS LIVING" IN OUR HEARTS DAILY.....!  HUUUUUUUUUUGS, sparrow in the south
