HAPPY NOVEMBER

Happy first of November! I hope this journal finds my entire DS friends well.  We are slowly creeping up on the winter weather...yuck! And of course the Christmas season is not too far off. I have already started shopping. Actually, I start as soon as Christmas is over. I have a big bin in the attic and as I buy something I put it in there. This usually works out quite well for me. But sometimes I get a shock and realize I have way too much stuff for someone. If that is the case then I will put the item aside for a birthday. Last night Michael and I plus my gal pal and he hubby went to the local hockey game. Hubby goes every week with another friend. They have reserved seating. Anyway, we Amherstonians take our hockey seriously. Well, it just so happened that the team they were playing was from my girlfriend’s hometown. So she was in an all Amherst section and cheering for the opposing team. Boy, did she get some dirty looks. Too funny!!  I dressed real warm for the game as I find sitting in the arena I get really chilled... well, last night the temp outside was a lovely 66*F. This is nicer than some of our summer nights this year. It was so nice that the kiddies did not have to bundle up in snowsuits or rain gear to go trick or treating. It is raining here today...what else is new!! The temp is 43*F so that is okay. But I took advantage of yesterday’s mild temps to get the rest of my outdoor work done. Hubby was a great help. The biggest job was removing the leaves from the gravelled dog area. But it actually turned out to be easy. We used the leaf blower to corral them and then Michael used the lawnmower with the mulching bag. We were so surprised that it did not suck up the gravel. Now I will not have leaves being drug into the house. Yeah! Well that is all for now. I hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday. Debbie
