Happy Birthday Lisa
Today, Lisa would be 43 years old. I woke up thinking about the day she was born. I had a planned C-section. I was annoyed with the doctor because he booked another lady and I backwards. I was to have Lisa on a Tuesday and the other lady to be on Thursday. Instead, I got Thursday. I was annoyed and said that since he made the mistake, I would be going home in 5 days (hospital stays were much longer then). Mom and Joe's mom were due to come and help out with Andrew. The other lady was annoyed because she wanted to stay in the hospital longer. She had 3 kids at home and wanted a rest! We both went home on the same day. I followed the doctor around on his rounds on day 5 - he took his time but finally discharged me and the other lady: me on day 5, her on day 7.
Lisa was a wonderful baby. Happy and slept well. Even when she was awake in the night, she didn't fuss. One night she wouldn't go back to sleep. We put her in her infant seat by the bed and fell asleep listening to her cooing.
It was wonderful having two grandmas to help. Mum and Amy took turns getting up in the night so i got a good rest. I learned after Andrew was born that I was not supermom so welcomed the help. It also gave me time to spend with Andrew. He was a perfect big brother until they hit their teens. For a few years they hated one another. As adults, they were the best of friends.
So many memories.
I had a wonderful day today all things considered. We are in Vancouver and spent the day with Merrilee (Jason's mom). What a wonderful lady. We shared our children with one another. We cried and laughed and learned that our kids had a lot in common. We ate wonderful fish and chips by the sea. And Lisa came to visit. She often shows up as birds, usually very noisy ones. But today she sang to us. It was just wonderful. I am trying to convince Merrilee to come to the retreat.
Joe and I watched the sun go down this evening, and I cried some more. I just miss her soooo much.
Lisa: Happy Birthday. Thanks for coming and entertaining. I miss you always and love you forever. Mummy

Loved this journal, Marlene. I can picture you following the doctor around. It made me smile, just thinking about it. Having fish & chips by the sea with Marlene!! What a wonderful birthday celebration for you and Lisa.
I do not know if I will go to the retreat or not. I do not do well in the heat and Florida is so hot. Also, have trouble walking in sand, because of my knee replacement. I feel 105 yrs. old, lol.
Happy Birthday, Lisa!! (((HUGS))), Julia
Of course, I meant with Merrilee, lol
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes for Lisa. I find birthdays as hard as angel days. We have such hopes and dreams for our babies. I was truly blessed to have Merrilee spend the day with us.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!! For some reason Lisa\'s Birthday was note on the list but I have added it. Hugs, Ann
Happy birthday Lisa! Kudos to you for spending this special day with another sister of the heart! Love and hugs to you both!
aaaaaah, the missing never gets easier......just hoping for reknowing in the future. Another hug, and kiss, would be heaven. My idea of heaven. Jake was such a handsome young man. He had my skin, and green eyes. Black hair. Curlier than his siblings. He is buried in Jerusalem, too far away.
Sorry for the pain of loss, but join you in our delight raising them. We were blessed, and hardly knew it. Love, Abby
Happy Birthday Lisa !

Dear Marlene,
I\'m incredibly sorry to have missed Lisa\'s birthday. I hope you & your family got through it all right. I think \'bittersweet\' would be the way we FMO moms would describe most special days now,
don\'t you?
Thinking of you & wishing you peace.
Hugs,
Donna
