Happy Birthday Lisa
I have been in a blue funk for the last week. It is not a surprise - it happens before each special occasion without Lisa. Today is Easter Sunday and April 20th, Lisa's 42nd birthday. It makes me sad when I think about what might have been. I imagine we would be in Ottawa to celebrate. We would be so excited about Cevyn's upcoming grad. Instead, I sit on the sofa remembering the good times, trying to ignore the not so good times.
Our weather has warmed up so we have our windows open. I heard the most beautiful sound - a bird in the tree singing - Lisa. I looked out and it was on an empty branch. She sang for a long time before flying away. Amazingly, the magpies and crows were nowhere to be seen or heard!
We opted not to go to Edmonton to spend the holiday with Andrew, Tiina and her family. I just didn't feel like being with a crowd. So we are home having a quiet day. I will light candles and roast a duck for dinner - we are not great ham eaters, go for a walk and this evening our neighbours will come over to drink a toast to Lisa. '
Wishing all a Happy Easter.
My dearest Lisa: I am so sad that I can't give you a real birthday hug. I hope you are celebrating - dancing and having a wonderful day. Thank you for the bird serenade this moring. It was beautiful. I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

I hope you have an amazing day with Lisa in your memories and your thoughts of her. I know she was singing to you from the heavens! How beautiful the bird was serenading you. Wow! Heart warming!
Love you Joan
How beautiful the singing of the birds must have sounded to you. I am sure Lisa had something to do with that. I know what you mean about not being with crowds on holidays. I always think of Jason and the \"what might have beens\". My husband is Greek so he always makes a lamb dinner for us on Easter, although your duck dinner sounds divine. We are staying home today, just the two of us, and will probably just watch some tv. We went to sunrise services this morning, which is always very uplifting to me. Sending love and hopeful you will have more birds singing to you. Katrina
Wishing Lisa a Happy Birthday and you a peaceful day...Love, Connie
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!
Hoping for you a peaceful day. My daughter and her family came and ate lunch with us. I just got back from walking and was also just walking and thinking what could have and should have been....Much love to you. Nell
Happy birthday, Lisa! I celebrate you and your earthly life. Clearly you were close by your mum today serenading her with a beautiful song from a heavenly bird. Gentle hugs Marlene as I know these days are tender, Linda
Happy Birthday,,, Lisa,,,, that bird singing,,,, cool beans!!
Happy B\'day Lisa! so many years together, so many happy days. Dear friend, soth, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. We suffer on these holidays, all of us. I am holding your hand, giving you a big sloppy hug. We are the lucky ones, grandchildren surviving. This is a big holiday in Israel, I spoke on the phone with Mimi, my grandtr. so far away. It breaks my heart. I hope she remembers her daddy with good memories. Love you, Abby
Understanding so much your sadness of what could have been. I truly hope that the precious memories of when Lisa came into your life may warm your broken heart a bit. Love you dear friend.
How often we wonder what might have been, what we all would be doing, how different everything should have been. In 2012, Michael\'s Angel Date fell on Thanksgiving Day. I actually went to my first Thanksgiving dinner since he died that year. I ignored it all the other years. Happy Birthday to you and Lisa, Marlene! It was the day that you gave birth :-). I am happy that a bird came to sing a sweet song for you both.
Peace.
Sometimes you just need to think about might have been. I LOVE that Lisa came to you with the singing of the bird...love it ...hugs to you my friend.
Oh yes, what might have been - I truly hope today was a gentle one for you. Thinking of you and your precious Lisa ~ Joanna x
Easter and birthday blessing for your dearest Lisa. Sometimes it\'s just so hard for us moms when we wonder what could have been. My heart is with yours as you honor her and I hope you have some sweet times today in memory of Lisa.
Love, Debbie
The joy of Lisa\'s birthday was so sweetly acknowledged by the singing birds!
A blessing and I hope some peace for you. Lots of love, Kathy
Gentle ((hugs)) shared with you on your painful journey.
Happy Birthday to your beloved Lisa and I admire how you tap into what you need and honor those needs by listening.
May the singing continue by all the birds... Some needing your attention more than others and remember someone has to be the \"melody.\" :)
Loving care dearest Marlene,
XO Joanie
