Happy Birthday Dear Hubby

I didn't get up at 4 am and crawl onto the couch or easy chair for more comfort.  I laid as my chest ached so that my dear husband could wake up to me next to him in bed on his birthday.
I painted a big crooked smile on my face and made him breakfast and gave him his card and planned his birthday dinner with him and fell on the couch when he walked out the door.  Now it is 10:30 am and I have to attempt to make it a day.
Why must I feel awful on his special day?  He is always so good to me.  I had a light day yesterday and thought I had saved some spoons.  I sure wish I could muster up some strength.
Daughter just called and wants to do family night tonight...Tortoise mode...

Debbie my friend, you are amazing! I\'m sure your husband knows how much effort it took for you to do all you did this morning.

Today (the 20th) is my husband Bob\'s birthday too! How about that---another connection! Well, I didn\'t get up when Bob got up nor cook his breakfast but put his cards from family by his coffee last night before bed.

I am making him his favorite cake, Italian Creme. Have been working on it since 8:30. Who knew baking would take so long and who know what it will taste like as I haven\'t done much baking in over a year! The only thing left is to frost. I\'m lucky I don\'t have to cook. We are going to friends to watch the World Series. (the Rangers really need to win tonight!).
Maybe your daughter would bring dinner or dessert to family night?

Listen, I don\'t have a heavy chest and it still takes spoons for me to function. You chest is worrisome. Refresh me on how much and when you take your mestinon. Do you take a timespan or get up every 3 hours to take your dose at night? What does the doctor say about this? I know you are still in the stages of diagnosis but they do think it is MG, right?
Please, please don\'t over do today. The best present would be not to go into crisis:)
Love and hugs,

These are the best birthday presents - I could imagine.

Know what my birthday present was, last month?
My wife drove me around, to see every family member we could.
Before I ran out of steam!
Luckily it was a Sunday - everybody was around!

\"You never know when you are making a memory\" ~ Rickie Lee Jones.
One of the best Valentine\'s Day Memories for me is the one where my Husband and I both had terrible head/chest colds and we ate chicken soup by candle light and drank orange juice out of champagne glasses.
It is what it is and we make the most of it without expectations or guilt!
I share the feelings of the others that have posted previously... no need to overdo and make a memory that he would rather forget!
My Birthday is in February... I have received IOUs (due to people not feeling well often during this time of the year) before and did not mind a bit... it just makes the celebration last longer! ;)
Sending my love and request that you take care of you, Becca

If you feel you want to do more, let him know what that will be when you have those spoons. Like an I.O.U.? Love is some powerful stuff, use it to drive you....

Even if you don\'t, it sounds like your daughter is making plans to keep the day going special. Your heart is in the right place, and that means alot!
