Morning Sunshine.........yup, ya'll are my SUNSHINE for sure!
Before I go any further into the land of e-mails I want to share my little adventure. The night before I laid out my clothes......like kids do.
Wake up on birthday day (thank goodness right???? giggle giggle....!!!!) ........watched the original "Swiss Family Robinson". Sam calls singing the birthday song live.......ahhh and wants to get together after work. Nice.
Around noon thirty I left to tun errands, then went to the hair salon. Learned 2 new ways to braid hair.......an inverted braid and the fishtail. Cool! Oddest thing though.......I don't remember the haircut. I remember walking in, getting my hair shampooed, her drying my hair.......zero memory of her cutting it. Where was my mind during the actual hair CUT? She must have cut it cause I can SEE AGAIN. My bangs were down to the middle of my nose........zero recall is freaky.
While I was at the nail place (pale pink finners & lavender toesies) my red readers sorta broke........wah! Oh.......I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time in my whole life. OUCH. really? that hurts.......not birthin' babies kind of hurt..........but it always seems suspect when we pay to let other people hurt us........doesn't it seem that way to ya'll? I'm having a harder time with my hands/tweezers plucking strays, so I thought TRY IT......you'll look nice. I walked outta there with PINK skin around my eyes......it got back to normal after 1.5 hours. I got to chat about why we should do some self-pampering with the nicest Mommy to a 2 and 5 year old. She was so fit.........chasing small fry is a great workout!
I wandered into the jewelry/pawn shop two doors down. The lady had a teeny tiny screwdriver & kindly fixed my reading glasses for me.........so sweet! We chatted for a bit........then she let me try on beautiful jewelry. I tried on a ring with 3 rows of round diamonds.......3 carats total weight. Felt soooooooo heavy - like a very sparkly pretty SHERMAN TANK on my hand. Too much for me.......! But what a way to go!!!!! Tried on some very pretty sparklers! Way less calories than cake!!!! xoxo Then she slipped a long gold chain w/ a diamond encrusted gold cross around my neck............that was a lotta BLING! Random Fun!
They had an antique Smith Corona typewriter on the shelf........they are asking $500 for it..........is that the going rate? It was my favorite item of the day (YES more than the sparkly stuff!!!!) but $500 is a lotta nickels.. A LOTTA LOTTA nickels.......like what? Ten thousand silvery little round nickels..........holy moly. I patted it and said my good-byes.
Finished shopping -Sam had to work later than expected so we met at the Japanese Place......the owner, Jackie Chan is sooooooo much fun! He always remembers me, our family! He invited me to have a seat......have drinks! I said I was in the water drinking league......so he said......"I gotta fine Japanese Water just for you.......only $5.00! He has twinkly eyes and a great sense of humor! I said, "Keep 'em coming .....only the best for us right Jackie? Bring it!" We're both idiots.......we chatted about seeking something interesting or joyous everyday ....then talked about Japanese pearls of all things.
So then....drum roll.....Sam walks in with a GINORMOUS HUGONTIOUS COLORFUL bunch of brilliant balloons! Still can't figure out how he got them all in his sleek little sports car......attach these balloons to a big wicker basket and we could take a tour over Napa Valley! Sooooooo doggone purty..........people started clapping. PARTY TIME.......we got to sit at a grill in the middle all by ourselves......it felt very VIP. Jackie and all of his staff kept us in stitches.........the chef did all the fun tricks.......with the eggs, the onion volcano.......flipping & spinning food & knives.........always enjoy the chef's show & good food! We closed the place down......Sam sure did make the day fun!
When I got home I saw a log sitting on my front porch chair......Sara had come by.....she left a card w/ a present. Some very pretty earrings! Hate that I missed her. The phone was ringing as I walked in.......it was Sara. She said she tried to call me for two days in a row..........how odd. No voicemail.......I was here??? Curious........don't know. Odd. We talked, Derian chimed in.......apparently he was on a business trip and just got back home last night. They both cut up and sang Happy Birthday to me........ahhhhh! So I said we need to plan some face time in the next seven days. Whether they come here or we meet for a meal.......so I have that to look forward too.
Soooooo appreciate another amazing singing angel (you know who you are!!!) last night.........thanks so much........and another big hug to a dear friend who sent the sweetest card and to all ya'll for the hugs, wishes, e-cards.......xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxox! I admit it......I was bumming big time about this birthday.........not the number of years......but the lack of plans. I was afraid I would nosedive and be very blue, so I thought if I went out and did honeydo's it would circumvent the sadness. It worked.........my family and me - we're sorta disorganized.........but I think in the end we all mean well.......have the best of intentions. Thanks for listening........for all the wonderful wishes....it is lovely and such a blessing to have your friendship..........and an honor to have time with ya'll.......................thank you and God Bless You EVERYONE.
Cindy is having a lumpectomy today at 11 am..........Don is having surgery to repair a detached retina on Tuesday and Grandma is getting another shot in her eye this week.......please pray for them..........thank you very much!
I have a dental cleaning today at 3..............guess I'll wait to eat that slice of cherry pie for after......!!!! Yup now you know, this year's birthday cake is some good ol' fashioned cherry pie........and yes, there will be a scoop of creamy vanilla on top.........it's time for ala mode, definitely..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Had way more than 4.6 laughs...........wow, awesome! Hope the same brightness & laughter finds you also! The crazy tree cutter upper/crunchers are back with their BIG TRUCKS outside ........and they are making a lot of noise, I hope it doesn't bother ya'll too much, they are being so loud......meanwhile Annie and Rio are stalking the huge bouquet of balloons............the balloons completely obliterate a huge cabinet in the living room.........over the top..........think he wanted to give me a giant cat toy for the cat kids!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo

So so glad you got to enjoy your birthday. Bet your mouth is sore from all the laughs. LOL. So you got your curly curls cut, short?? Bet those fingers & toes look perty nice. :). Ouch eyebrows waxed! I don\'t have enough eyebrows anymore. I use brow powder & a brush. You\'ll have to send me a photo of you. Of course I\'ll let ya know when my big day gets here closer.
Got a notice for Jury Duty in the mail yesterday. No way can I sit & focus that long. Will have my PC doctor write me a note. It\'s not until 3/26. Hope you rest up today from your busy day yesterday. Don\'t want you crashing so soon. Love & hugs

Well, the jury is in, I had a very astute friend here today & let her read you journal of today, and she said if she ever saw your name on a book now, she\'d buy it without even open it to see what it looked like! She believes you are the next Irma Bombeck...............who I just loved by the way.......! So why not give it a whirl?? Just think, you\'d be both famous and filthy rich???
