Growing up is hard...
I remember when I was little I couldn't wait to grow up. I had the idea that once I was older things would be so much easier. I would have the freedom to do what ever I wanted, when ever I wanted. Now I'm a "grown up" and I often wish for the youth I was so eager to escape, or rather the innocence that went with it.
Life has never been easy, there has always been complications to overcome, but I miss the childhood faith I had that I could handle anything. I use to see the world as magical, full of beauty and possibility. Now I feel jaded and angry most of the time. The complications and decision I have to deal with all too often leave scars on my spirit that ache. I doubt myself constantly and feel lost and confused.
I know that this is normal, that everyone has to deal with this, but I wish growing up didn't have to be so hard.
