Grit

I was at work one day this past week and though at times I feel badly, embattled and splintered sometimes, I know to push forward and adjust to keep the focus on the work and get the job done. This attitude has helped me succeed and grow and I heard a tv announcer describe the attitude as “ grit “ today and I would say that’s accurate. It has helped me grow.
I have also noticed of my better facility with dealing with my own illness and interacting with others who are healthy and are friends. Those feelings of imperfect interactions may bring me down but I just accept it and move forward. There’s times for better connections in the future it’s kind of like a grit attitude as well.
I kind of have been thinking about how I am a little jealous of how others can have some really good relationships .. like a partner or a marriage or children. But even so this realization has helped me realize that I need to take meaning from what is in my life in just a different way. I can’t live just in objective living but rather it is probably looking at things in terms of what I have in my life and what I would like to hold on to that makes my life meaningful.  How I would like to see things.
Being with my parents today it makes me realize how wonderful it is to spend time with them and also have the view that we all have different strengths and traits that we’re all degrees of things.. just like I have my shortcomings too. So I am valuing my time with them and enjoying it.
