GriefShare, today...

Just wanted to let you all know I started by GriefShare, group today and it was a start.  I actually made it into the class, before I would just sit in the parking lot and talk myself out of it.  Meet some wonderful ladies, only one of which has lost a child, the others have lost their husbands, but they were all so HELPFUL.  Learned one thing I'm not crazy and I am ready to 'lean into my Grief'...  baby steps.

HUGS to all of my friends here too, I mention how this has been my only support and also how HELPFUL you all have been and are all my sisters.

I even laughed today...  :)

Oh, your last line \"jumped\" out at me....\"I even laughed today\"! Isn\'t that an amazing thing when you do that? I didn\'t laugh for the first time until my retreat with FMO in Niagara Falls. Then didn\'t do it again for another year. Wow. So happy for you that you are reaching out. It is a good thing to realize we are not crazy and LAUGH that we ever thought we were! Hugs, Belinda

Leaning into our grief and feelings our feelings is vital on this path. That is why even the simplest of tasks become SO huge because so much energy is being drawn upon in every moment.

Grateful to hear how you are feeling and all of these are courageous steps that you are taking.

I remember the first time I had validation that I was not \"crazy\" with my grief and sorrow and how that was a lifeline I held onto. I still do today when the world feels upside down and prickly. Just knowing that others feel and have felt this way helps me greatly. We are not alone!

Loving care and hugs,
XO Joanie

I am so happy for you!!! I as well completely understand how it feels to have validation that you are NOT crazy. I am part of a SIDS support group....I used to and secretly still do hope and wish at times the meetings get cancelled. Hugs to you my dear sweet friend. We are ALL together in this journey! xoxo

This is very good news and very hopeful. You took such a huge step in going to that meeting. I found much healing and comfort at a support group that I went to for several years after Greg died. It was a safe place where I could cry and say all the things that I couldn\'t say anywhere else but here. You are definitely not crazy....you are moving on this difficult journey of grief.

Oh so proud of you sweetie! We say \"baby steps\"...and boy do we have to take baby steps....but sometimes, sometimes we have to have the one HUGE step too. You did that!!!

\"Leaning into my grief\"....a powerful truth I will be pondering...

And yes, OH so smiling myself that you found a moment of laughter!!

Love you beautiful!

The progress is slow but then we you have that first laugh - that is progress.

Thanks again everyone for the hugs and comments, today was not as good, but I\'m OK with that. It was raining here and my only goal I set for myself after all the crying yesterday was a trip to the library and to fix dinner for my husband. I did both, so for me that\'s 2 for 2. Tomorrow\'s baby steps is to go do laundry. Been avoiding that, because \'they that work there\' dont\' know yet I lost Greg. One of the hardest things is saying it out loud.
