Green Spring Gardens-Cherry Blossoms
Hello friends,
I thought I'd show you the cherry blossoms that I saw the other day. Green Spring Gardens is an oasis not a lot of people know about. I've been there SO many times. It is located about 2 blocks from my current job. If you'd like to see the Cherry Blossoms, which are at peak bloom as of today, there is a camera you can watch it. http://bloomcam.org/
I saw 2 varieties of cherry blossoms. the Yoshino which line the Tidal Basin and are a light, pale pink, and a dark pink bloom. (There is a variety that blooms about 2 weeks after the Yoshino called Kwansan.)
I also got shots of daffodils, Hellebore (Lenten Roses) Bluebells and Magnolias. (which I don't think get the attention they should)
And a Moon Gate, there is an historical house behind it. I didn't want to leave there, it is a wonderful, peaceful place to chill out.

the Cherry blossoms are incredible, and very historic part of our nations history :) it's so nice, how they blossom each spring :) Thank you also for sharing about the nice bloomcam, it's very nice they have that :)

Hi Linda Tu for sharing your time at Green Spring Gardens. So nice it is close to your work & that you have been there a lot of times & people don't really know about this place & it's a place that you can just relax & enjoy. The cherry trees r so pretty & so r the flowers. I'm glad u had fun. When I used to live in Virginia I loved the Cherry trees also. Tu for sharing a link on how to see the Cherry trees also.
