Green Smiley Tuesday

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share an uplifting story. I know many of us have faith & believe we will see our kids again one day but sometimes we just need a neat story to inspire us. Don't you agree? Well I have to share this one. I saw an aquaintance recently whose husband Howie had been ill with lung cancer. He recently passed and before he transitioned my friend, Priscilla, had hospice come in. For 2 weeks hospice, Priscilla & Howie's adult children sat by Howie's bedside as he was transitioning. He had a few moments where he was with them but mostly was carrying on conversations with friends and relatives who had passed; all with a smile on his face. One could say he was no longer lucid or the meds gave him hallucinations but each day as the nurses told Priscilla that today his earthly life would end they overheard Howie saying to one of his Heavenly companions, "No, not today." Until after almost 2 weeks the nurses said to Priscilla, "Yeah, Howie's saying to his "friends and angels not today so we don't think it will be today."
Anyhow one day Howie was conversing again and saying to his friend. J.S., "J.S., remember when we used to race cars?" and Howie laughed and laughed. Priscilla's kids said, "Mom, who is J.S.?" Priscilla explained J.S. is a friend who Howie hung around with as a teen & they used to drag race their cars. But Priscilla was puzzled as she knew that J.S. was alive so how could her husband be conversing with him in Heaven? That night Priscilla was reading the local paper, the Lowell Sun and glanced at the obituaries. J.S. had died the night before! Howie knew! He talked to him in Heaven. Priscilla, who is a believer said she & her kids were "blown away"!
One day Howie did not say to his Heavenly friends, "No, not today". He died peacefully that afternoon. Wow!
My green smile is for this story that is so affirming of the fact that we will see our kids again.
Love ya! Linda

When my Mom was transitioning my sister reported to me that mom said \" I\'m not ready yet\" . Now my sister is very literal so she said to my mom, what aren\'t you ready for, and got no answer.
When I got there to relieve my sister and she told me what happen I told my sister: she wasn\'t talking to you.
